Thank you for this tutorial. Just starting to learn beading and made my first beaded bracelet with this today. Came out nicely! Had to make some minor adjustments due to using a different bead brand on the 11/0's, (ended up adding 4 size 15/0's on each unit) but still turned out nicely. Was extremely helpful how you showed in detail what to do!

Thank you so much - it's the perfect design! I only had 3mm cubes, so I used 15/0 seed beads (instead of 11/0) which got a bit tight so I had to use my finest needle and still required pliers to carefully pull the needle through after I'd added thread. It's a little 'thread thirsty' so on my second & 3rd bracelets I doubled the length of my thread but I started the bracelet in the MIDDLE of the thread, making half of the bracelet in one direction, and then turning it around and working in the opposite direction and adding my clasps as I finish half of the bracelet, but before reinforcing - so I didn't need to add any thread at all, eliminating the problem with the tightness of using the 15/0's, AND I was able to reinforce the 2nd & 3rd bracelets twice without any real difficulty...which gives them strength and makes then feel much more substantial. (Where there's a will there's a way! In fact, I almost always weave my projects by starting in the middle ..I really hate adding thread!). So now I have 3 gorgeous stackable bracelets that match the print in my gorgeous new frock perfectly. Thank you so much for sharing, Gina - you're a fabulous teacher : )
@GGCBeginningbeaders3 жыл бұрын
Very creative modifications, I love that you thought through the design challenges with the smaller beads and made it work. That is how you learn to design, at least it’s how I learned. I would modify designs to accommodate the materials I had on hand. The method of working from the middle- out, is a great method, I use it in bigger designs, mostly necklaces, but still add thread. It’s not so hard to add thread if you learn to extend your Fireline, that is, if, you use Fireline or Nanofil. I have a video on how to that if you want to learn...anyway, I am happy you are happy with your new bracelets.❤️💕💙

Having made this bracelet several times I couldn't get it to look neat and complete.So after the cube stage and then the 5 seed bead stage,instead of filling in the top and bottom gaps with 1 seed bead I used 2 seed beads .Much much better result ,no gaps and far more uniform.Hope this helps someone else as it is a lovely easy bracelet to make and I have now made 4.
@GGCBeginningbeaders3 жыл бұрын
Yes, very good modification, seed beads and cube sizes vary, even though they may be called 4mm, some cubes are much bigger than others called 4mm and seed beads differ in size from brand to brand. Sometimes you have to modify the pattern to fit what you are using.

@@GGCBeginningbeaders I understand. I have a stash of beads like that myself. Do you remember where you bought the burner? I would like to purchase a quality burner, and I have always been leery a flame. I have been using a surgical burner that I was gifted by a doctor years ago. Unused mind you, it was opened outside the surgery room and was therefore deemed contaminated and unusable. Expensive little sucker but it served me well for years until it didn't.
