Lava soap is great for mechanics too. It gets the grease and grime off that normally stains into all the little grooves in the skin. It's great stuff.

Very pretty. So I'm not the only one hoarding calendar art ;). I think a trough style vase or a number of vases filled with (silk) flowers running below the mirror would connect the collages & tie in with the floral elements.

Absolutely gorgeous collages! I love random glass bottles and jars to decorate with. You can wrap part of it with twine or ribbon or even decopage them. I have some pretty light blue ones which are just a bottle of inexpensive wine I have been enjoying! These r great for candles, pot porri or incense.

Or some flowers in it. Ideas r endless actually. You have a Great eye for decor n stuff, so I'm quite sure whatever you end up doing, it will be Awesome. Lindsay, I love these. For a really clean minimalist look with them on your mantle I would use translucent glassware in coordinating colours. You could use a series of vases in all shades of green for a garden theme or a mix of greens, blues, yellows and pinks vases, bowls, glasses and things to mix it up a bit.

These are absolutely beautiful, I love them! I would put a birdcage with a huge candle in it and a butterfly/dragonfly/rose flower clipped onto it. Option 2 would be 3 step church candles decorated with simple shabby chic tissue or a single design on each then placed onto silver or gold dishes or rectangular small.

TFS! I think this is a great project any one could pull off, maybe even me. I tend to get my self so caught up on where things "should" go that I end having all my elaments but never sticking anything down. maybe its fear of screwing up my canvas or just using up my elaments. not really sure. You inspired me to give it another go and not stop until it's done.

Hey Lindsay, I really wanted to say I totally agree that winter has been way too long in Maine this year. I am not sure if it is because I am getting older and don't have as much patience with the winter weather or not. I loved this project though I have to say I am a watcher and not a do-er. I don't have any crafting materials. I tie flies, and I color in coloring books in the winter. I do love to watch you create though. Thanks for sharing. All the best, Sean

This lantern idea sounds great. Very minimalist. Of course my love for butterflies and dragonflies might urge me to place one or three metal ones painted white on the lanterns so the become one with the lanterns but appear chosen uniquely for this Art. I have two canvas this size n could never choose an altered theme. I love 3D but not so much all the mixed up laces n trims some crafters use. Beautiful, this.
