EASY DIY Crescent Moon Mirror

Thanks for this video, I've had my eye on this project for a while and this captured the look I wanted. I've been working on a bigger mirror and have had some trouble getting the plaster to stick to the mirror without chipping or falling off completely. If anyone else has this problem I've found that putting a layer of Elmer's or Wood glue down on the mirror and on the back of the dried plaster gets it to stick to the glass really well. I haven't tried coating the mirror with the glue and applying wet plaster (maybe in addition to or instead of sanding) but that might help too. That is so good to know!! Are you sticking with a moon design or are you doing something different with yours? It sounds beautiful! I hope it goes well! Mine has held up wonderfully and hasnt cracked or fallen apart since I did it! 🥰

@@JosyBun Yeah! I'm doing a moon too :) The mirror I got was a bit bigger than I was expecting but I got a great deal second hand from offer up. I think that might be why I've been struggling a bit. We were in the process of hanging when the whole thing kinda popped off. But I think I finally cracked the formula... pun intended :)

This is lovely. I have a broken mirror and I'm planning to do something like this. I just have a question. Did the plaster of Paris stay put or did you experience and chipping aways ?

For me it's held up super well! It still just looks like it did when I made it! :) I hope your mirror turns out wonderful!!

Uno what else might would look good was to get like Pearl's an gems an scatter them every where in the moon idk ideas are endless in my head lol
