What is the spacing between the vertical 1x4's? Also how long are they? I thought the video said 5 1/2 feet but I must have misunderstood because it doesn't seem that tall. Thank you! This is awesome! Seriously considering doing this!

What did you do with the trim at the bottom? It looks like you added something there…. but it wasn’t mentioned (unless I missed it, lol).

It's the 1x2x8 ledge I think

We attached a 1x1 along the bottom, right above the existing trim so that the horizontal pieces would have something flush to sit on making it more seamless. Hope that makes sense!

Question, I see yr wall is textured, did you sand it first?

No, we didn’t sand, just painted it. I wouldn’t sand the textured wall but if you want a smooth surface, you can put up sheets of boarding before adding the slats and then paint!
