I've never seen this method of pattern drafting before. Interesting.

I’ve been eyeing this pattern and I love that you made it! I, too, made the mistake of using my hip measurement for the bottom of a bodice piece! 😂
@Sew-Happy7 ай бұрын
😃 hope you make it too 😉 Right after I finished sewing the pants, I put them on and went out to dinner! 🤣 I like them that much!

Love the waistband modification you made! It totally makes a difference. Easier than only doing elastic in the back to get a smoother front. Gonna use that one for sure! Especially when I have such similar waist and hip measurements anyway.

So many ways to work with elastic! Glad you liked this method. 😃

Excellent as usual! Thanks for sharing.. I saved this video but I will strive to draft my own perhaps from my raw. I was totally lost on the dimension rotation but will review it again and again
@Sew-Happy8 ай бұрын
Thank you!! Totally possible to draft your own, or even trace off a pair of your favorite pants onto paper! 🎉 As for the rotation in the video, it doesn’t matter which way you move the tape measure, or the order in which you transfer the dots, as long as you mark them all. 😃

Hey, where did you find your seam allowance ruler?

Hi. What other pants can i make to practice that is similar to that one?. Unfortunately i don't have that pattern system, but, i like that pants style. Can you please recommend some pattern that i can use to practice?
@Sew-Happy8 ай бұрын
Hi! I would recommend the Penelope Pants from Sonia Estep. I have a sew along on this channel (kzbin.info/www/bejne/nGq3hYCYjs2fiZI )where I make the jogger version. Omit the bottom cuff and you will have similar pants to these! ♥️

@Sew-Happy You're awesome!!👏 thank you!!. 🤗. I was always intimidated of sewing certain things like bias tape, zippers, buttons, pants, and sleeves, but now i feel very confident that i can get it done thanks to you😊, so, pants are my next challenge. 👍

@@Sew-Happy Thanks. 😊. Also when you can, look for the new Tiana's closet new pattern JANAE notched neck blouse, i saw it, but i will printed it only if you do, it looks very interesting, and different. I hope you like it, and make it for us.😉😊.

@MS-mr4li yes, I saw that too, and love the topstitching. I’ll put it on the list. 😉

What in all the witchery was that system you were using at the beginning?! I have wide hips (40") and I'm only 5'0" tall. Is that system something that would possibly work for me as well?
@Sew-Happy8 ай бұрын
This is the Lutterloh system! And, yes, it works to fit us all. As with all patterns, short and tall people will have to shorten/lengthen accordingly, but the core fit is on point. 😊

@@Sew-Happy That is awesome!! I’m definitely going to learn more about this!
