Looks like a pretty good setup. I agree with your assessment but it still looks like it will get the job done. Pretty cool. Have a great day.

Looks like a nice set up for a portable solar system. Those panels do look they could be more sturdy, but should work fine while you are out camping. Nice set up and review.

thanks for watching. it is a nice set of panels. Hope to get to use them sooner rather than later.

Looks like that’s all you need to keep your batteries charged. Winter time the solar is less efficient but summer solar is amazing. 😃 Trev

Anytime you can use solar when boon docking has got to be nice. Most people love their solar panels. I never used any but see others use them and love them. When not camping they use them for outdoor lighting around their pool, deck or patio. Where ever you may need lighting that they don't have. Enjoyed watching😊
@HappyPlaceCamping11 ай бұрын
Yes! Hoping to get lots of use out of these. We weren’t going to ever install in a permanent way and had no real intentions of doing a set up like this, but these came along and we thought, what the heck. They’re very nice panels. Looking forward to using them a lot.

In case you don't know you can get an "MC4 inline fuse" to just plug nearest the solar panel. Amazon has them.

Solar works best in the Desert 🌵 (Hint, Hint) I use to lay my foldable panels flat on the ground and they work fine.
@HappyPlaceCamping11 ай бұрын
Haha. Yes. Desert and solar do seem to go hand in hand. I was thinking they would probably work just fine laying flat. Be easier than messing with the stand.

Very nice panels! You hook up the battery to the controller first because it let the controller have the power to start up first, then control the thd amount of currentcomjng from the solar panels. 😉

I was actually more interested in the charge controller talk. I've wanted to swap my batteries from lead/acid to Lithium. But I'm being told my onboard power converter can't handle charging lithium. So I've been curious about what changes I need to make before buying lithium. Solar can come later for us.
@HappyPlaceCamping11 ай бұрын
Well. Since it was a review for the solar panel as product placement, had to talk much more about it 😉 We don’t have lithium. So can’t answer that for you. Sorry.
