You can get permanent marker off something smooth like that. Just scribble over it with a dry-erase marker, then wipe both off.

That is a trick that I've heard so many times and yet for some reason I always forget it haha! Thank you for putting it in my memory again 😊

Great flips! Gesso is what artists use to cover a canvas before they paint. You might want to keep some in your stash. You can find at most craft stores.

I loved the tip on making pillow covers! I always hate the hand sewn opening on mine.

Rubbing alcohol removes dry permanent marker. Test it on anything that seems delicate but usually there isn't an issue that I've found.

You've got that right. I do use that a lot on anything smooth that they've written on. It doesn't always work for me on porous surfaces though. It fades it but doesn't get it all the way out. Perhaps if you let it sit for a long time?

I bought a very similar item from our Goodwill, a very heavy and thick, square marble cutting board? I don't know what else to call it or what it would be used for. Cheese cutting board maybe?? It has a small stain on it, I tried several methods to try and get it out, but couldn't. I think it's not as noticeable now though. But I was just thinking the other day about putting feet on it to make a riser. Mine is square, but not a basic straight sided square, it has a delicate shape to it, like a scalloped shape. After seeing yours, I can't wait to put feet on mine! Just have to buy some. Or make some. ;O) I love your videos! I binge watched all of them over the last couple days!

That sounds like it will make a wonderful riser! I'm not sure what you tried to get the stain out, but if it doesn't have any sort of sheen that would be ruined by scrubbing You could try using a magic eraser on the spot. That worked for me on the marble cutting board! Thanks so much for watching, glad to have you here 😊

Thank you! I will try that! It does have more of a matte finish, or what I think they call honed? I can't wait for more videos. :O) @@TashaatHome

Apparently CitraSolve gets rid of permanent marker. I haven’t tried that yet though.

I have not yet honed many gardening skills, so I probably do need to know her! Alas, I don't. But I have perhaps visited her nursery before! I've been to one or two in the area.
