Hi Becca. Love all the design elements in your kitchen. I'm with you, the barn doors never go out of style. They look great. Love the feather design. I have been watching Amy Howard's method and product so using g what you used I stead of the epoxy method sure looks easier which do u like better? I want to do my kitchen counters and where did you get the feather I have chickens but not a long feather like that one

Looks great I’m not a fan of valspar paint I use Behr marquis all the time I think it goes on better and is easier to work with but anyways your kitchen looks great

Love your kitchen! Thanks for the tutorial ~ it turned out fabulous! Question about countertops…..I have granite and would love to transform them as you did. Since I would be skipping the epoxy ~ Would I use the same steps you showed when you painted over the epoxy since mine would not be epoxied and straight granite? Thanks

I really appreciate that. thank you! Yes, just make sure you sand them first really well (like 120 grit ... an orbital sander would be best) and clean off well ... then prime with a good bonding primer, etc.

So it was the epoxy that turned your counter yellow not the paint you used under the epoxy? The poly you used does it have to say no yellowing?

YES, it was the gases in the epoxy that, over time, yellow. I was so bummed on the one hand, but SO happy to have found a solution by going with polyCRYLIC. PolyURETHANE, on the other hand, will also yellow.
