On the open side facing out get peg board and pegs to hang brooms, shovels, hoses and so on or, add additional shelving. I added an entire work bench with 1 side peg board and the entire backboard as well. It keeps things handy but off the top of the bench.

You’ve inspired me to make my own! Do you think it will need to be anchored to the wall or is it sturdy enough to be free standing? Thanks
@Iwagumi_9 ай бұрын
I highly recommend anchoring it to your wall studs. It will save you from an accidental tip over in the future.

Yes - very smart to anchor it

Nice video! The wood cost me $89 from home depot. It was 2.98 a piece for the wood.

Will 2x4s need more spacing?
@Ben_Land10 ай бұрын
You will need more spacing vertically, but not horizontally

Why do you need 25 2x3s at 8ft to make 30 cross sections at 30”? Wouldn’t it just be 10 2x3s? Also, nothing in the video was mentioned about the plates.

So is this 8 foot tall total?

Add locking casters to the bottom so you can move them around

This is a great idea but the instruction part on how to put together is a mess, l just winged it and put it together today but assembly would have been nice to see how you did it, even just a verbal description.

After watching way too many videos on this type of storage build, I’m going with your method. Using 2x3’s is a brilliant choice. 2x4s would work fine, but that extra cost is unnecessary. Anything that one would store in a tote that would be too heavy for the 2x3’s is already too heavy for the tote box, that plastic edge will give out before the wood does. 👍🏼

i was too thinking about the 2x3's. i agree with what you said about the individual toes, you think the 2x3's is still OK for the collective weight of all the toes with stuff in them?
@sau1itud366Ай бұрын
I ended up using 2x4s for the frame part of it, and 2x3s for the rails that the totes sit on. It worked out really well! I would double check all measurements with the actual totes you are going to use, they are a little different from store to store. I used Home Depot totes.

If you are doing a DIY video on how to build something, how in the world did you forget to record it? What's the purpose of the video?😩🙄
@notaytguru82144 ай бұрын
At least he gave a cost estimate. I’ve seen 35 of these videos and don’t know if this project was $200 or $2000 😐
