Gorgeous!!! Question - why 4x4 instead of 2x4s, since they are hidden? Would that not be strong enough?

Absolutely beautiful. I'm making a small entryway table but I'm using acrylic on the sides and glass legs.

You did a great job!! Thanks for sharing! ❤ your info is all correct 😊also thank you for explaining the difference between pressure treated wood and Kiln dried. A lot of new diyer’s may not know the difference. I was just pricing out those 4x4 posts and in my area they are about $12.78 at HD. So after looking at your video I decided that since the 4x4’s won’t actually being showing that I will frame out the interior with 2x4’s. I should be able to achieve the same results. I believe that this should significantly lower the price or maybe give me more money to splurge on a nicer hardwood for the surround. Again your project came out beautifully. Thanks again for sharing ❤ I’m going to try to make two of these. Wish me luck 🍀

If I want to make this and have a natural wood look ( no yellow or orange tones) what kind of wood should I use? Birch, white oak or ?

Looks great.. but a few notes... You could have used 2x4's instead of 4x4s.. since they are all hidden behind the over panels. If you don't have access to a table saw, you can use a flush trim router bit, to trim up the panels on the inside parts of the legs, so there's no overlap.

You said you were going to add feet. Did you do that? And if so what did you use?

Love this! Doing it now and having some trouble with the front pieces. Using a mitre saw do I set it to 45 degrees or just angle it for my cut? Thank you!

I was so excited when you posted about this on IG. This is absolutely G O R G E O U S, Erika!! 😍 I love it, and will be saving it for when I am ready to build! I have been trying to figure out the name of the bit I needed and you provided the answer: Countersink bit!😍 Thanks for sharing this build. ♥ On a side note, please take care of your lungs and they will take care of you forever. Not wearing a mask when you sand or stain might not be flattering, but your breathing (and your health) will thank you for it later in life. I say this only because I care. ♥

FYI, pressure treated lumber is perfectly safe to use indoors. It hasn't used toxic chemicals (chromated copper arsenate or CCA) since 2003. I wouldn't use it to make a cutting board, but it's fine for table legs. It would be awesome if people would stop perpetuating this myth based on 20+ year old information.

Hi friend, beautiful table. Would you take a piece of constructive criticism from a video guy? You go straight into materials and construction after your intro. Maybe show us what you are building first. You can still do your full glamour shot reveal at the end. 😊

I love this console, saw it when you first posted on KZbin and Instagram. Actually, I like all your DIYs. Can you please tell me about your floor? It is exactly the style and color I've been looking for to put in my foyer. Currently mine is all black. Thanks.

If I go with a pine wood, or similar "bargain" price wood, will this bring the cost down significantly? I know red oak is on the higher end of the pricing range. Also, was there a specific reason you went with red oak? Thank you!
@PeonyandHoney
@PeonyandHoney Жыл бұрын
Yes it absolutely will cost less and will look similar! I used a higher end wood because this was a sponsored project for Minwax and I wanted to showcase their stain on a higher end wood
