Hi J M! Thank you so much!! ❤️ I edited the video description and added my color palette 🎨 Basically it’s a couple shades of green, peach/coral and white. It doesn’t matter the brand, use whatever you have. 😀👍 I hope you enjoy making it ✨✨

You need to start giving us the sizes of the dotting tools you are using so we can attain the lovely results like you please?
@ArtbyRMalloy2 жыл бұрын
Hi Flossy, Thank you so much! 🥰 I usually don’t give specific tool sizes for a couple of reasons. Firstly, All tool sets are not created equal. For instance, I have 2 sets of the same (swirly multicolor) tools, and they are different!. *If I add more, or less paint to the tool, the size of the dots will be different… try it!. *If you’re substrate is larger or smaller, you’ll want to adjust your design to fit. If I’m doing something on a smaller piece than you, you’ll want to keep scale using larger tools. Honestly, I’ve collected about a hundred tools, (all when I first started dotting) and I use the same 4-5 tools, almost exclusively. In my more recent videos, I try (to remember 😉) to give the millimeter size of the larger, flat tools. For the smaller, ball ones (at least in my designs) feel free to use what you find comfortable with, that fit your style and the design. Thank you so much for watching and dotting along with me! ❤️✨

Beautiful Rock... however I can't guess at what the sizes are.

Hi Sheila, thank you! It's a 3" round (cement) stone that I made, as shown in my 'How I make art stones' video. *Link below 👇 Except for the white, flat tools I used, which range between 2mm - 8mm, it's nearly impossible to give tool sizes. Both the wood handled and acrylic tool sets vary widely from set to set. For myself, I numbered my wooden ones 1-smallest/5-largest, the others I know by color. You might use a different size stone or decide to do it on wood or canvas, and would want to adjust your sizes accordingly. ✨✨

We need to break free of always doing the traditional black background. I love the metallic colours.

Thank you, Lyn! I agree wholeheartedly ✨ I do a lot with metallics and color backgrounds. I just sealed several more this morning!!
