I love how colorful you made the skin. Few artist know how to make brown skin colorful. You should try dark purples and blues for base shadows as well.

EXCELLENT job! I normally roll my eyes with most dark skintone tutorials, but this is perfectly done. It's hilarious that you called light skintones regular. Richly melanated skintones are truly exceptional.

With each color, are you just adding it to the edge of the previous color and then working it toward the lightest point/highest points of the skin? And then you are going over the entire thing with the colorless blender? Your work is so beautiful and so seamless, I can’t believe how realistic it looks! I’m not sure if you are just overlapping or if you were going over the entire thing with each color

In the US we pronounce it SEE-pee-ah. That doesn’t mean our pronunciation is correct for the rest of the world. If you are more comfortable with SEP-ee-ah, then that works too. It’s our responsibility to translate the accent in our heads.

I've just learned, as an American, I do not pronounce sepia the way Americans pronounce it. 😂❤
@BlackavianАй бұрын
@@melissakelley9758 That's the way it is pronounced in the western US. Or the way I pronounce it anyway. As a native Arizonan, I'm as western as you can get. Just to be sure, I looked up the pronunciation using Google because I have been wrong about (oh so many) things before. As in the rest of the world, I would not presume to declare the midwestern and eastern US would pronounce it that way. I'm pretty sure they pronounce it differently in the southern US. I think you should pronounce it the way you want. As long as you know what you are saying, that's what counts. 😊

Thank you so much❣️ This is exactly where I’m at right now and had come to a full pause not wanting to ruin my piece with a “flat” rendering & aspect. -Oh 😮and btw: it’s “see-pee-ah” so “seepeeya” hen pronounced altogether 😊

With white skin tones, we lean towards red, green and yellow undertones. With black skin tones, they tend to have red or blue undertones. Undertones varies person to person no matter what your skin tone.
@musictoliveby0824 күн бұрын
Some of us have very yellow base tones as well. Not all dark skin tones have red and purple bases. I would like to see this artist show an example like that too. Think Regina King, Queen Latifah, or Tiffany Haddish. This is my first view here so if already done, thanks. Gorgeous drawing! ❤

Dark skin tones, not “black skin tones”There are people with dark skin who are not “black”. 😅

Construir o conhecimento e torna-lo uma habilidade é necessário um grau de profissionalismo ,e ter tempo.Obrigado por dedicar este tempo para o nosso aprendizado!!
Sepia is a brown color. Dark sepia is just a darker brown it's NOT black at all.
@theunwantedcritic19 күн бұрын
Well, you’re good at telling what color pencils to use but exactly how to use them is kind of a mystery. I guess I have to slow down the video and watch it a couple of times.
