Easy Easter Egg Bath Bombs With Surprise Colors Inside

Welcome to CREATIVE BATH LAB - my happy & creative place for DIY bath & body products! My name is Dora, & today's tutorial is EASTER EGG BATH BOMBS! These are super cute & super easy to make! Make a double batch of mix. Split the batch & save half for exterior (white) & the other half for color. I used bombshell fragrance oil, which is a lovely flirty floral scent. COLORFUL INTERIOR MIX: Choose which ever Easter colors you’d like. & divide mix into the number of colors you’ve chosen to go inside the egg bomb. I wish I would’ve chosen different colors like light teal, lilac, & pale yellow or maybe a light magenta, sky blue, & soft periwinkle… I don’t know, just something DIFFERENT! MOLDING: This mold is great but be careful bc it dents VERY easily. The molds set comes with 4 (halves) so use 2 to mold with & let bombs rest in other 2. Once I have more than 2 bombs made, I take out the oldest bomb to make room for the newest one. *** I’m not even sure the bombs need to rest in the mold, but it sure made me feel better! PAINTING: This is your time to shine! Choose whichever colors/micas you want & create your own master piece eggs! This part was really fun for me… The sparkly micas that I used are so gorgeous & so much prettier in person. It really pisses me off that the camera doesn’t do them any justice! * Anyways, always paint your ugliest bomb first to test out colors & to practice painting. The raised striped pattern guarantees perfectly even lines. And, painting is quick & easy! Again, I am kind of disappointed that I didn’t go with different colors… & lighter, more pastel colors at that!. The egg turned out very cute, but this color scheme is seriously getting played out! PACKAGING/GIFTS: These bombs came out so adorable & cute. I feel like the egg bombs would make great gifts…. Of course, I don’t have any more but if I did…. I would definitely consider giving some out! lol. Seriously tho, they’d be perfect for easter baskets or by themselves in a big over-sized egg to give to family & friends. RESULTS: The bomb floated right underneath the surface of the water so I had to hold it up the entire time (drag). My son also enjoyed this bath bomb… And, so did his dad! They were wonderful (as usual) lol!

I know what you mean about adding the colors inside, but at the end of the day your eggs came out so beautiful, and your always fun to watch. Thank you for the ideas, I love the fact you don't use oils in your bombs, I've made some with your ingredients and I'm amazed at the fact that I don't have to clean up oils off my tub. 🤍

Right!?! I’m surprised more people don’t comment on that.. honestly, I’ve been waiting for someone to ask, “um, where’s the oil?” lol. I still can’t find a single bomb recipe that doesn’t use some sort of oil, esp carrier oil... first thing I did was cut that out! I hated the way it sat on my tub & collected all the grime & dirt. And, I couldn’t stand the way it left my skin oily/greasy. No thank you!

And thank you! Yes, they really are so cute! But I can’t take credit for that. That’s all on the mold! BTW: I purchased mine Nov last year & it was aluminum now when I click on it, it’s plastic... in question section some chic asked if she’d get aluminum or plastic & 3 answers said “aluminum”... but that was 3 years ago! So I don’t know.
