And per your many times suggesting, I made a few extra sammiches, some of which will fill the belly tomorrow at a Veterans event fundraiser with an O'Dark 30 showtime. Used the Ghee butter, wow, it adds a great flavor on the griddle. Total success. Thank You!!

This looked great. I'm familiar with egg in a hole. Always thought one should drop the sausage patty in the hole first followed immediately with the egg. Just a thought. Now about the breakfast burger. I have heard of them being called the barn yard burgers or the Wilber burger ( as in Wilber the pig because of all the pork). For me that's the way to go. Love me a great barnyard burger in the am. 😋👍🥚🥓🍳🐷🐄. Have a great day. And FYI, our cool weather run finally came to the end. It almost reached 90°f yesterday. Should go higher today 🤔. I'll keep the boxers on today and my sun hat. Luckily for others sakes I live on 10 acres in the country side. Trespassers beware. 😁😆😅🤣😂. Folks, have a great day. 😃🍻🌞👍

That looks really yummy going to have to try it. Just wondering is the stainless steel utensils not damaging the ceramic on the pitboss?
@TheFlatTopKing2 жыл бұрын
Metal Utensils Response - This is definitely a hot button topic... And my answer would be that you have to use metal utensils AT YOUR OWN RISK. The actual Pit Boss Ultimate griddle manual says "non-metallic utensils". I know of a handful of Ultimate griddle owners that have been using metal utensils on their griddles for a while and they've said that there hasn't been any damage... but like I said, you have to use at your own risk - I'm sure that Pit Boss probably won't replace your griddle top for you if you damage it with metal utensils. Also, there's a difference in the types of metal spatulas... my preferred spatula has rounded ends and does NOT have the sharp beveled edges all around. That's the spatula that I like for my other griddles as well. I would never use a square ended, beveled edge spatula on mine. Also, you'll notice that I still use a wooden scraper/spatula to actually scrape down the griddle surface (NOT a metal bench scraper like I use on my other griddles). There’s also the difference in being a more seasoned/experienced griddle user… I feel confident using metal on mine because I’ve been using griddles for over a decade (both commercial and residential flat tops) - so I know not to dig into the surface, how to use the utensils to not cause damage, etc… Hope that helps!

Well I appreciate that....we love our sausage...thanks for the thought
@praetorxyn2 жыл бұрын
@@TheFlatTopKing I've had Tennessee Pride before when I was in grad school at ETSU, but that was over a decade ago. For ours, we separate the meat / fat out into 25 pound piles and season with crushed red pepper, sage, black pepper, probably some other ingredients I'm forgetting, and mix before grinding it. We usually pat each bucket out stacked on a pan with parchment paper between layers and freeze it overnight, then I vacuum seal packs of 9 patties or so. We end up with probably 200 pounds of the stuff and it typically lasts most of the year.
