Why I keep coming back to your tutorials. I've really come to the realization I need to "mass make" some embellishments. See a lot that I like, but they always seem to mostly look alike. But, watching you helps me get out of the norm and re-examine what I have to work with. Thanks.

Good ideas! Unfortunately the booksellers seem to be on to us as a quick look up online showed very expensive prices. That’s changed a lot recently as I know that we used to be able to find more reasonable prices. Perhaps at your local thrift shop although I know that their prices are also going up. Some Thrift shops have specials depending on what the day of the week or month is so if you figure out the scheme and then only shop on those special days you might find something at a reasonable price. Good luck! P.S. share your tips with this community and we will all benefit!💕

Good morning, Joie. I hope you are having a good day. We have been without power since Sunday evening and are currently staying in a nearby motel. We have lost all the food in the fridge/freezer and the extra freezer. My washer went out on Saturday…with a load of my clothes…and I can’t get them out. So, they will be quite moldy whenever my electricity does come back on and the repairman can finally come.🫤The storm that caused the electric outage blew a neighbor’s tree onto our backyard fence. Our deductible is 1500.00. When it rains, it pours. BUT, this too shall pass. I can only laugh at the timing of it all. I pray you are having a better day than I.😏

Hi, a video I hadn't watched yet. Very helpful. Those strips with the holes that you tore off of the paper is a good piece of paper. I put that gold wax stuff, forgot the name of it, on it and then thread ribbon into the holes. Of course the strip was a short one when I did it. Your lovely ephemera has given me some good ideas, thanks.

Hi, Joie. I was watching you make tags and in that particular video, you were having trouble with the Crop-a-dile punch. You may have already figured this out, so forgive me if that’s the case, but it appeared that you were using the part that sets your rivets to punch holes, and you weren’t getting a cleanly punched hole. That’s not the hole punch part of the tool. Look at your tool and see the part that looks like half a bird beak, with a hole in the top? That’s where you punch your holes. I hope this is helpful. While the Crop-a-dile is an amazing tool (I have most of them and I love them), I did find them a bit challenging to figure out when I first got them. I just love your videos…am slowly working my way through them all. I say “slowly” because you really trigger my brain with ideas and I need to go try them out! LOL

Oh my goodness so many ideas going through my head right now. I have a Cricut so can cut any shapes I want out of book pages, masterboards, maps, etc. I cut my own tags, too and use revision cards as a base as they are the thinnest cardstock available for not much money then I cover them with vintage papers, etc. I have die cuts, my own artwork, and vintage images to use as focals. Years ago (10?) I bought mica sprays (expensive) and never used them much. I can now use them up, so they aren't a waste of money. Then whe the bottles are empty I can make my own. I have a set of cheap chalk pastels that I bought and hated and put on a shelf and now I can rub the colours in with a blender to grunge them or give them a light coating of vintage colour. Last but not least, I have a Gelli plate that I use for bright and bold coloured prints. But why, oh why, haven't I thought about making prints with vintage colour paints? Can you tell I am excited? I already started creating.Thank you! 🙂

I don't do junk journals, but these embellishments would be great on cards - that I do make. Thank you for sharing.

I bought a set of oil pastels as well. I was not impressed, However, I am impressed with you. I'd lost interest in junk journaling because it's become about the expensive paper pads and all the things that most people are using in videos along with these digitals, or those tomorrow. I can't relate to these ladies as I can't even think about buying a printer. You show us ways to use what's available to us and I'm thankful to you because you remind me in each of your videos of just how simple it really is. You always make the most beautiful things with the most simple supplies

Good timing, I'm busy mass making clusters and edging strips. Gotta love cheap and free!!! They're brilliant scrap busters too. Interesting glue mix, I always buy contractors/wood glues too. Text books are brilliant, I love maths ones for some reason, equations are cool 🙊. Have you tried the warm crayon technique with a baking tray? Lol very efficient planning 👍. 🙊🙊 eyeshadow graveyard😄😄 great idea using wax to seal the mica and the irregular wax shapes are cool 😎! Oh it really feels good to use the 'unusable '. Oh such cool wax effects, really artsy. Loving the easy to work with master boards and I love circles and ovals. That kingfisher is stunning, my favourite teals 😍. Lots of great results and ideas. Tfs and have a great day 💖💖💖

I just found you, I am really enjoying. I don't have paper punches so I use pretty round cookie cutters and draw around with a pencil and cut them out. I know it is extra work but, you have to use what you have. Thank you for all your ideas

A fun video of using what you have. I was wondering if you got a wax build up on your punch, and how you kept the punch clean. Thanks. 😃

I haven't had an issue yet. It's a great question. I think I would probably put the punch in the freezer for a while then just knock it off. 🤓👍

Does anyone have one of those date stamps (that you roll around for the date) and the year bit has expired or it was a too recent year to make it vintage? I was about to trash mine! but then I had the idea of cutting off the year bit so I can still use the day/month bit!

Oooh nice!! I stamp it anyway, I just like playing with it even though it's out of date. 🤣🤣
