Easy Ethiopian Fûl + Salad Recipe I Harari Breakfast I HarariCooks

Fûl - A delicious traditional breakfast made from fava beans. Best served with tomato salad, natural yoghurt, boiled egg and bread.
Serves 2-3 people.
Ingredients
- 3 tbsp vegetable oil
- 1-2 medium onions
- 3 garlic cloves
- 2 large tomatoes
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp black pepper
- 5 tbsp tomato passata
- 1 & 1/2 tsp coriander and cumin mix
- 1 tsp assu/berbere (optional according to spice level required)
- 1 tin fûl beans
- 1 green chilli (optional according to spice level required)
Salad
- 2 medium tomatoes
- 1 small red onion
- Fresh coriander
- 1 spring onion (optional)
- Green chilli (optional)
- 1/2 lime/ lemon
- 1/8 tsp salt
- 1 tbsp olive oil
Other sides
- Natural Yoghurt (Greek)
- Boiled egg
- Bread
