You Sir, are the man. Scanning 60+ year old slides and couldn't figure out how to get the underexposed parts to show up properly. Running 3 different exposures on my camera and blending them makes the final result 100x better.

You, Sir, are the most needed teacher on KZbin for Gimp users. Thank you ! I would like to have your view on how to get moody tones. All the videos I watch on this subject are about Lightroom. I have already obtained some cool moody photos but your knowledge might be really useful. Keep it up and thanks again.

Thank you for the tutorial. I tried following exactly what you did with importing my three images. On the step where I drug the normal image over to the right side layer panel it stayed but the other two images disappeared. Do you have an answer for this? Thanks

super helpful but I still have a problem, I shot these photos on my drone so it wasn't perfectly stable which results in some unwanted blur. How do I fix this?

Is there a straight forward easy way to blend images in GIMP for exposure like there is in Photoshop or Lightroom? Nothing complicated. No 33 clicks. Just highlight the 3-5 images and blend them for HDR.

@CaptainFancy3 жыл бұрын
None of these tutorials that I've searched show you how to first "align" all of your stacked images before you start your blending like you can in Photoshop. HOW??? I don't think GIMP can do it.
@UNSCPILOT3 жыл бұрын
You almost certainly need a tripod and a wired/wireless remote to have any chance of making this work consistently. Handheld HDR is only really possible if the device itself can rapidly take the shots and blend them automatically, some phones can do this. Any slight movement between the shots will make them nearly impossible to fully align especially close up

You realize all photos are edited, right? There's no such thing as capturing an image perfectly just from camera. If you played guitar, would you so not use an amp or any effect pedals because you want to be a purist? Lol

How do you get the GIMP page looking like the one at the beginning here (2:30)? How do get the images to appear together as thumbnails at the top?
