I did this today, the first time through Elrs configurator failed, I reconnected to the top port usb c selected debugging tried it again and it worked. The controller feels very nice to fly! I’m happy!

I'm a genius, I just managed to update my radio and now the elrs won't work at all. I've tried rolling back, but the elrs lua script just shows question marks. Haha it looked so easy when you did it.

Thanks for the explanation. It helped me a lot. For me, I have old windows and the flight controller was not recognized as com port. The solution was to flash over wifi. I thought I put it here for anyone else having difficulty flashing.

Before you start, ensure you have the latest EdgeTX firmware version on your Zorro or TX16S MK2. You need at least EdgeTX 2.7.0 (f79978b) or EdgeTX 2.7.1 (a55aff0). The Zorro often comes with an earlier EdgeTX 2.7.0 version (2bdd4974) which results in unsuccessful flashing.

Great video glad i found your chanel covering ExpressLRS especially as i am slowly transitioning over myself, would love to see a video on the elrs best settings and meaning for each option on the elrs 2.2 radio controllers as i just flashed my new happymodel es slim pro for my frsky x lite and now i am scratching my head with in elrs info i.e best power setting 500mhz, fan threshold etc for my betafpv meteor 85 elrs whoop etc. Great work 👍

For real it was so simple. Way easier than the iflight commando8 and flashing any rx. Love you can plug it right in if you choose but I’m Wi-Fi only ha thanks

The Jumper T18 isn’t an ExpressLRS radio, so you are probably plugging in your radio via usb and trying to flash instead of flashing your module. Click build instead of build and flash, drag the firmware.bin file to the desktop and then power your module. Connect to it via wifi then flash it

Heads up: if you flash the 2.2 release with the EU regulatory domain then you are limited to 10mW. The LBT code for up to 100mW is in the master branch but not in a official release yet.

I believe you have to make sure the internal module is enabled and set to (CRSF) for ELRS. This is on page 2 for your model.

Hi Darren, thank so much for the video, very helpful. I am wondering you have ever had this issue - I have followed your instructions for wifi flashing, there was an error when trying to flash, now my radio will not produce it's own wifi network anymore. I have tried reinstalling opentx firmware, elrs firmware and the lua script, but no matter what I do my radio will not produce a wifi network (I have checked for the signal on multiple devices). I also cannot flash via the serial port as it will not find the com port. Only got this radio last week, such high hopes, but it has honestly been painful so far. Any suggestions would be most appreicated. Thank you.

The ELRS TX module in the radio is bricked. There is a recovery process documented on the ELRS website.

Hmm. Neither method work for me. On USB, build and flash gives me an error message "c/users/*me* is not recognized as an internal or external command" or some such, and for WiFi- I go into the ExpressLRS script on the radio and it says "loading ???" indefinitely, but doesn't load. Mine is basically a paperweight.

check the model that internal receiver is to crossfire or CRSF And external module is turned off, And trainer is set to master

Great video, but I'm getting a "Target Mismatch" warning when I am setting up for the first time. Any idea if I'm okay to proceed? I have verified everything was correct in the configuration before building. Targets Mismatch Current target: RADIOMASTER_ZORRO_2400_TX. Uploaded image: DIY_2400_TX_DUPLETX. Flashing the wrong firmware may lock or damage your device.

Yes that’s perfectly ok to proceed. The default firmware from the factory is “DIY” so flashing the right target from the Configurator is correct

At first, people say it's good to buy an ELRS starter set, but other people say that the cc2500 is good for later, but it's too difficult. Please help me with what I should start with.

Given CC2500 gives you FRSKY and FRSKY has bad range, if you are getting into FPV & Drones then you are best to start with ELRS because it saves you upgrading to it in a few months. Starting with ELRS limits your second hand market a little, but most people sell drones second hand without receiver anyway - so you have to put one in. Might as well be an ELRS. Most Bind and FLy (FPV Drones from stores) all have ELRS options. Start with ELRS
