For those like me who don't have GPS data displayed on the screen, simply go to page 11 (TELEMETRY), delete all sensors and add new sensors again. It was a fix for me! Short story: I wish I had this fixed a few days ago when I accidentally disarmed the engines and my plane landed in a very large field. I spent an hour or so looking for it until it was too dark to keep it on. After a rainy night I came back determined to do whatever it took to get him back. To my surprise I found it closer than I imagined. I doubt I'd find it 10km away from home position. Now with GPS data screen fixed I'll have a better chance next time! Cheers!

My zorro wont discover any gps rxbat curr sensors ect.But i get all data with OSD DJI goggles.Telemetry is on in configuration tab just cant get the data on Zorro. Any suggestions would be much appreciated.

For Jumper T-lite/Elrs users I found the Telemetry ratio 1/32 to work best. (1/64 gives "Sensor lost" alerts every few seconds)

This works on the Jumper T-lite as well ! very cool :) to enter the telemtery screen (as there is no dedicated button) you need to long press the Down button

I used this guide a year or so ago when i first got my Zorro, i now fly more long range and have a few different quads but havent REALLY been following my GPS data but i want to do so more and be more proficient with my telemetry. With that said will it "store/track" telemetry info regardless of which quad Im using? or should i create a new model for each one...and if i did then would i need to "discover" the gps for each one? thanks im trying to figure out what the best course of action is ;)

I lost communucation with my drone at 300 ft high on a windy day. The main power must have cut out.Correct me if I'm wrong, but this will not transmit gps co-ordinates to the radio after losing main power because the elrs transmitter and flight controller don't have power? I have my last known co-ordinates but from 300 ft on a windy day in an area of heavy dense brush so it won't help enough. I bought a Ruko r111 for my new drone and I'm hoping that is a better option in a case like I had happen.

To save a little time on moving the files. After you opened the file locations of both where you want to copy the files. Just simply grab the file and drag it to the other side and release it and it will copy the file over. Looking forward to trying so many of these things when I actually receive the controller which I thought was going to be today. Never hurts to get informed on how everything works before you use the controller for the 1st time.

Great video. I tried it with a diy gps sensor based on openxsensor and I'm getting the gps coordinates in the telemetry but it hangs the tx (zorro) when I switch to the telemetry page. The only way to recover is to turn off the tx. Does this only work with telemetry data coming from a flight controller?

Why default telemetry display with GPS on it can't do the same? I am on OpenTX and have my GPS coordinates still on the screen after my plane power off.

great video, i have been using the lua script for some time and it was working great, for some reason when i hit my telemetry button on my radio, it brings up the viewer but no gps shows, if i run the GPSX9L lua script from the system page, its pulling all my gps stats? anyone have any idea what would cause this?

I think it writes a log file. See the last minute or so of the video, click Sys, Tools, GPS Stats X9L, where you can view the log file I think.

Within the first two minutes of the video (Step #1) I explain there are different versions of the app based on screen size. So, determine what screen size the TBS Mambo has from its User Manual and/or Product Description (I have done this for you =128x64). Since the Mambo's screen size (128x64) is the exact same screen size as the Zorro and TX12 demonstrated in this video (128x64), everything in this video should be exactly the same for your Mambo

I hadn't forgotten you wanting to switch to EdgeTX. I had to make sure of this myself first. Read my pinned comment above. If you use EdgeTX on the TX16S and this script you DO need to make a minor change. One of the EdgeTX Dev's modified the main.lua file for it. I've included the link to the modified main.lua file. Use it instead of the original one. The only thing this does is allow the script to work properly with the "Top Bar" widget area of the TX16S. If you use the original main.lua file, the script will interfere with the Top Bar and change it color to something different and not allow you to modify it. @@TMacFPV By the way, there is a free android app called c:geo used for geocaching. You can input the coordinates of a downed quad into it and it has some great tools for tracking built in. Things like a compass and a directional arrow tool.

@@kurtzFPV Sure thing! Glad you saw my comment. This week I'll work on the EdgeTX video and plan to publish it Friday. It's pretty straightforward though just following EdgeTX instructions on EdgeTX site. Dev's have done a good job with documentation. One of the things I've found "different" about EdgeTX on the TX16S is both the formats of screens and color schemes. Formats I can get used to, however, not all colors (obviously) work well with page screens for readability. Finding out which color to change on what part of the screen has been a bit "annoying" for me, however, I'll try to clarify that somewhat in this upcoming EdgeTX video

Help! Anyone? When I click "discover new" for the sensors, it doesn't find GPS sensors. GPS is working because I can see it in my OSD- home arrow, number of sats, distance, etc. I tried deleting all sensors and doing "discover new" again, it finds the original 10 sensors that it had before, instantly- TX power, RSSI, all that stuff. Any ideas anyone? Either way, brilliant tutorial, very easy to follow 😁

You have to make sure in betaflight that you have enable telemetry(is called smart port or something like this) on the specific UART. Usually it's on UART. You can search more about this.
