EASY FIX: Change Voice to Text from Samsung to Google Voice to Text

In this video, we'll show you how to change your Samsung voice to text to the Google Voice Keyboard without ever leaving the app! We'll also show you how to use the Google Voice keyboard to input text into the app.

THANK YOU! Had two previous Samsungs, but my new one had HORRIBLE voice to text. Randomly putting periods in the middle of sentences, spelling out the word "period" when I said period, and so on. Omg so funny, yep the damn "period" my problem was always the letters I and u, they would always get mixed up. I would type the words "I will see" and the phone would type "u will see" LOL

My phone updated yesterday and now the mic icon is nowhere when i went to use it today. I reset my phone. I deleted Messenger. And still no mic icon. Its not on my keyboard now while im typing this 🤪 I dont know how to fix it...????

Every time I text speech It always seems to put (IS) In front of every sentence I would say i'm taking my dog to the park and the results would be is puking me sog too flark Like what does that mean and I tried everything to fix it Seems like older phones were better with that

I followed your easy instructions to a "t" and learned, with the latest Samsung update, (Dec,2023) its been moved yet again! initially it was under what you stated, "Samsung keyboard settings"-- now you under , "keyboard list and default"- you will find "google voice typing" - I appreciate you taking the time, and getting me to the near vicinity! I tried this and changed to google voice input but still no microphone. However, I do have a way to record my voice and then send. But that's not what I want. What to do?

I rely on voice to text and samsung's terrible voice typing caused so much random embarrassment lol.... I could change it with each text but was so frustrated that I couldn't get it to stick. This video is a lifesaver! I just upgraded to the Samsung Galaxy S23+ from my Samsung Galaxy S7 and this is so much better than dealing with the Samsung speech to text function. I've had the old one randomly capitalize words that didn't need it, it would start capitalizing proper nouns only to change them to lowercase by the end, it would spell out ending punctuation marks, etc. Google Voice is not perfect, but it's definitely a step up from Samsung's speech to text function.

This video changed my life!! After the last update, I was very frustrated with my voice texting. I even went in to change it to google (with no idea is auto changes back) and since it kept on I assumed it was on google and the update just sucked. If you had not done your video the way you did, where you showed that it auto changes back, I might not have finished it and never knew! You did great!!!

WOW! What a relief. I've had a terrible time with Samsung Voice, sending almost incomprehensible, and often funny texts. If I said, "question mark," instead of adding the punctuation, it just wrote it. Note that he said they had changed the location of the place to make this change, with their latest update. Thanks for this informative, easy to actually follow video. You helped me fix a very annoying problem. Samsung did an "update", totally changing my settings to benefit them, and as they are competing with Google, removed the google voice to text icon from the screen. Even when I attempted to put it back it wouldn't go back, and I put the Samsung one on my screen and then used it. What a lame feature. I have to ask, do any Samsung employees even use their own voice to text feature? I bet if I did a survey, they all have the google microphone on their S24's, etc. I'm going to try and find where in this phone there is a setting to stop automatic updates!
