Loose pins is a common problem on watches with metal bracelets! This video shows a quick trick to solve the issue if you ever have a pin walk itself free. Hopefully we can avoid the common story of people looking down and realising their watch is not where it should be.
Thanks for watching :)

Brilliant Video!! Thanks for making and sharing it. Yes, it is a "Pin and Collar" system on that Seiko watch band and if the Collar gets lost and you don't have a spare one you are in trouble. Your FIX takes care of that and allows you to wear the watch without getting a Collar for the Pin or while waiting to find and get one. This Video will help MANY people with Loose Link Pin Issues. Simple and BRILLIANT fix. Thank You again!!

I had a loose pin problem with a Citizen AT2471-58L Eco-Drive Super Titanium Chronograph. No collars and perfectly symmetrical pins. They had been secured with some sort of varnish. Once out, they easily slipped out again until, not having seen this excellent video, I applied clear glue, as tiny an amount as I could manage, using a needle.

Exactly my problem with a JY8020-52E propilot. They were tough-ish to get out, but once out slip through under their own weight. Something sucks with this system.

Thanks for posting, I adjust my own watches and I've never had a problem until I received my first Seiko King Turtle yesterday. I'm not sure if I trust Seiko going forward, but it's such a beautiful watch.

I resized a bracelet on my Citizen propilot. All the pins I put back (according to the how to video) fall out under gravity. Note the Citizen is not Pin and Collar so that's definitely not the issue here. 10/10 for your very handy video, a commonsense fix for an annoying problem.

thank you for this, video, ive got a movado which ive not been able to wearfor over a year now due to multiple pins and collars/tubes needing replaced or "fixed" LOL :) one was the case to braclet pin, then the clasp to bralecelt, and then a few regular link pins, I learned there are differences between those 3 its now over 20 years old (still in extremely nice condition, ill note, had it refreshed a few years back ) had the pins replaced as needed over the years, the pins arent as easy to find, as they once were and are starting to cause increase in cost to have it repaired in general so finding this video was awesome i cant wait to try this method and hopefully be able to enjoy wearing it again saved me some

Hi there. Any advice on a stuck pin? I used the tool on the wrong end and the pin is now stuck. Won’t come out and won’t go back in! Any help?

Good solution. My watch band (a Tag) has split pins, which can be spread open like a hairpin. You can make them tighter by bending them open. But if that's not enough, I think bashing the split end (making sure the split is horizontal while doing it) would add security.

Same here. And I just bought my king samurai last month. One of the pins keeps peeking out. I've only worn it for one day! Crazy. And watch that pin just slip out of this gentleman's watch in this video freaked me out. I'm planning on buying the Hexad bracelet which has its links with screws instead of pins. I'm sure I'm saying it wrong. I'm hoping the screw links are a safer option. Thank u for freaking me out with this video. 😂

The samurai is pin and collar. So if the pin is falling out so easily the collar isn't in place. I'm guessing you lost the tiny collar when you first adjusted the watch when it was new. This is very easily done as the collars are tiny. .A properly positioned pin and collar would never be loose like that. It's a mega secure system. Google Seiko pin and collar. There are plenty of videos on KZbin. Good luck!

Possibly. I had the watch sized at a watch dealership so if they lost it then it's a possibility. I can't see any collars in these pins on close inspection, they all seem to be friction fit. Either way, the flattened pin trick has held up fine and hasn't skipped a bit. Thanks for watching!

@@toolstimetravel4948 Yup, definite possibility. Had a "reputable jewellers" sell me a £300 Citizen diver that they adjusted. Ten minutes outside the shop the bracelet fell apart. They had lost the collar too. Luckily I caught the watch. If fitted properly it's a great system. Super secure.

@@toolstimetravel4948 I am not so sure about the "collar" thing. I don't see any. Looks like friction fit on my V158-0AA0. Great solar watch by the way. My charging failed within a year and Seiko fixed it for free but I had to pay shipping (Grrr). Now the band issue... None the less it is a great solar watch for a hundred bucks.

@@RSmithsc Seiko use a pin and collar (or pipe as they call it) on the Sumo, Monster and I think the Samurai. I don't have a Samurai but I have two turtles, a Sumo and a Monster. The Monster bracelet looks exactly like this and it uses pin and collar. His fix is a good one though, they are annoying as hell and it just doesn't seem to fully grip even with two collars on.

Becareful using this method. The pin is very fragile and can bend out of shape.

Thank you. Beats glue. Here is a possible contribution: a small C-clamp will force a pin home with no risk of marring the bracelet with a hammer.

I don't think you "fixed" it. I'm pretty sure you're missing the collar. Each link is connected with two pieces.

Probably not fixed to the standard of a watch repair shop, but its a simple solution that works and it hasn't ever come loose since. So I consider that a fix ✌️ Plus if it got lost then it must have worked itself free anyway or been lost when the watch shop adjusted my bracelet for me. As I haven't adjusted this myself. Either way I've not got time to be messing around with easily lost and fiddly little things like collars. A simple flattened pin works fine. Thanks for watching ✌️

@@toolstimetravel4948 Im gioing to take a guess that "fixed" and then term "proper repair" ( the process of repair that the mfg calls for to be performed that would be performed by a mfg approved or a vetted independant vetted watchsmith/jeweler would know to perform etc.) are ubitquitious, which is not totally wrong but its not a 100% correct coralation either, where fixed is fixed it regardless of how the problem was solved, fixed is fixed, on a side note to point out or bring issue of how someone uses a term improperly soley from subjective nature or personallyu derived standpoint instead of from a proper citable credible source ie websters dictionary or language learning textbook, etc is kinda distracting just not the best practice to engage in, js apologies for my 2 cents the more you know..... (shootingh star flys across screen) :) 2 people both favorite color of blue, No matter the details both are correct however i can almost with99999% certainty say that both individuals whos favorite color is blue, do not mean the exact same color blue aS the other when they think of or invision or if they were told show or select the color blue they reference as their favorite it would be different in hue, tint, saturation, intensity it would be a pointless arguement because both are correct and cant be wrong blue regardless of specifics is blue and its their right to have their perference etcc yada yada i started out intending to maek a simple short comment lol
