I did not know doing a pillow like in the flag pattern or a quilt in a flag pattern actually dishonors the code of the flag. When did these rules come about

I understand the attraction and the desire to surround yourself with the great American symbol of freedom, however as a vet and someone who comes from a long line of military veterans on both sides, I wish you would read and adhere to the US Flag Code. It's actually a fairly short read and lays out the proper way to display Old Glory and all of the ways that dishonor the American Flag. Using the American Flag as home decor is one of the ways that dishonors it, another is making money from the use or display of the flag and another is wearing the flag as clothing. I know that lots of people, including political figures who know better, do it but that's not a good reason to do things. Rant over.

Hi Billie. I am truly sorry if I have offended you or any other military individuals. My father, my husband, my uncles, and my brother in-law were all in the military. In our yard we have a very tall flag pole with a light shining down on Old Glory. Thanks for watching💗 and happy sewing😍
