I love your paintings and tried my very first open cup today on a 8X10. I used a metal biscuit cutter..but it didn't move like yours did!

The weight of the biscuit cutter is likely to heavy, a paper or plastic cup is best.

Love your painting always. What is the purpose of the masking tape if it goes over the sides when you take it off.

It helps control the design a little better , the once I've achieved the look I want I can let the excess flow off and cover the edges.

Just a quick question, why does my paint bleed 'purple' through my canvases. Even when there is no purple paint used? This 'bleed' effect has ruined so many pieces of mine that I can't sell. On art that I have created, the negative white space, 99% of the time, has this purple bleed. Any recommendations?? Thank you in advance!!

Thank you. Try painting the edges of your canvas with your base color before you begin painting and this will help the paint adhere to those areas.

I used Amsterdam acrylic colors that I diluted with medium pouring (70% pouring medium 30% water) and yes, I think I added a lot of silicone and I didn't get any cells that I wanted so much. The base color (grey) is simply diluted with enough water to allow it to spread over the entire canvas and be loose enough for the other colors to glide easily.
