I’m sure I’m in the minority (and someone will scream ‘salmonella!!’) but I love regular French toast I make to be really soaked into the eggs…put in a hot pan, with butter, get it crispy on the outside…and a little raw on the inside…then a lot of butter (not a syrup person) also, it’s just how I like my steak, too, lol. I wouldn’t serve that to anyone outside my family…and my husband insists that his be cooked to death, lol (just like his steak). I’ve never tried a French toast casserole before, will definitely give it a try!

@@CatherinesPlates that’s funny…my husband says that I like my steak « mooing » lol, it’s true. I do not like runny fried eggs, but I like runny scrambled eggs. He just cooks his food to death, but is actually a really good cook for stuff like chili and pot roast (that he made last night, yum.) I’m the baker…I like the science of the measurements…he likes to experiment with spices and seasonings in cooking, and is really good at it…except he likes steak well done…a crime against nature 🤣
