Tracy my friend you are absolutely amazing. I love this scarf... so beautiful. And the idea of Decorating the wrong side of the fabric so that the right side still shows it's beauty is Genius. You're never to old to learn and no matter how long you been sewing you can always learn something new. Your channel has taught me so much about upcycling. I'm so thankful that you enjoy sharing. You're the best my friend. Never disappointed. 🤗🤗🤗🤗🤗🤗🤗

I love this scarf!! Got a fur cutting hack for ya, when I did costuming for theatre we would turn it on it's back and score it with a exacto blade. The hair wouldn't get cut at all, just the "skin", and therefore made less of a mess! Happy sewing!!!

Traci, you can cut the real fur with a razor blade on the leather side without touching the fur. This way, you won't waste any fur and won't have so much mess. 😊

Thank you Traci, your videos are part of my life now and I love your work, your imagination and your sweetness. I would like to know what type of fabric the scarf is, I have allot of polyester skirt but didn't know if they would be good for this type of project, Thanks so much for your hard work.
@tmyershandmade978 Жыл бұрын
Omgosh you are so sweet, sooo glad you are here with me! Regarding the scarf, the skirt was either polyester or rayon or a blend. The original tag is long gone. I think your poly skirts will work just fine, I know I would use them.💞💞💞💞💞💞

I have about a dozen black velvet jackets.....have you got any tips for working with velvet?
@tmyershandmade9782 жыл бұрын
I treat velvet like any other fabric for the most part. If you piece velvets together, you will want to pay attention to the "nap" and have each piece going the same direction. It can really chang color depending on which direction it is facing.🥰🥰🥰
@cherinienke302 жыл бұрын
@@tmyershandmade978 do you just use raw edges zigzagged? I have washed and dried the velvets...no problem
@tmyershandmade9782 жыл бұрын
Depends, I've use velvet as pay he's and the edges are raw. I've made velvet purses and the edges are finished. If I made a skirt (for example) I think w velvet, I would do a double rolled hem.

PLEASE NOTE..........AS SOMEONE WHO WORKS WITH FUR EVERYDAY.......USE AN EXACTO,CRAFT KNIFE OR BOX CUTTER!!!!! ANYTHING WITH A RAZER BLADE TO CUT YOUR FUR. WAY LESS OF FUR BEING CUT ON THE EDGES.
