Easy!!! Gear Linkage Bushes & a Quick Look at the Project T4

Advice that worked for me was to put the bushes in hot water for a few minutes to soften them up. Did this on my 2.4 in situ fairly easily...no AC though so reasonable access. Great videos Twiggs, helped me out several times now.

I’ve read people saying they drilled it out so it will slide on easier, I’d rather just do it properly, fair play doing it in situ and that’s a good tip for anyone will to attempt to do it without taking it all off 👍

Out of the dozen or so T4 gear linkage bush videos on youtube, you can take some info from each video, combine it, and actually do this job without too much hassle. I have watched all of them. There is a guy in Brazil who does a complete overhaul of the gear linkage. I now replace the large ball every 5-6 years to keep it feeling tight. Small ball and cup last replaced about 15 years ago. I'm only doing 3,000 miles a year now, so that helps. 😂

Yes I’ve watched quite a few different videos on the gear linkage, along with pretty much anything t4 related 😂 Hopefully won’t have to do mine again for a while I do similar miles 😂

I love the gold alloys, I've got the same velle but in dragon green (ACV) was it a complex job going from underneath, I dodged mine with cable ties and shredding my hands getting from above She's a rescue case 😂 but hopefully she'll be ready for adventures next year

Yes it was a lot quieter, I noticed a lot of the regulars that put their cars on show and shine weren’t there, hardly any show cars in the main tent, the stickers stick from the outside now rather than the inside, there was only 1 auto-jumble trader, and cost £5 to put your vehicle up for sale! At least the weather was dry if not a bit cold and windy on the Saturday. What did you think of the weekend in whole

@@TwiggsT4 I have been a few times now and I was a bit disappointed with the turnout.we did make a good weekend of it though.funny you should mention about the stickers on the outside.my girlfriend was pissed off with that and so was I to be fair. I have never been to bugjam so I will try that next year.

@geegee2022 yeah same, still made the most of it, probably won’t be doing vw action next year. We always do Bugjam, even that’s got smaller over the years but it’s still a lot larger than action
