I love when you do more beginner or natural makeup because as a small town girl I would never wear bold makeup, mostly because people would look at me like "who does she think she is wearing all that makeup? This has to be one of the most informative tutorials I've been able to find in a long time - all the small details like windshield wipe and circular motions, and then how you hold the brow pencil. Most skip over those details, I don't know if it's because they assume we know all these details or they don't think of it, but for someone like myself that is still new to makeup - this is a godsend.

Beautiful Jaclyn! First of all YES to a talk-through tutorial! They are my favorites of your videos, you do them so well and I always learn heaps!! Second of all, I'd just like to tell you how much I absolutely LOVED your video the other day. It spoke volumes to me, and if I'm honest, it really made me re-examine the way *I* react (even if it is only internally and/or to my husband) to trolls/otherwise angry people online, and just to people who are frustrating or stressing me out in general. I had a really awful experience with someone a couple of weeks ago, but I realized at the end of it that we are all going through hard stuff, and some of us just don't handle it as well as others. And frankly, that's been me at various times in my life. Right now life is good: I have a gorgeous, wonderful husband who loves me and treats me like a queen. I have a beautiful, healthy daughter. I have comfort, a home, a family. But when things aren't going so well, I tend to take it out on that gorgeous husband, or the person who cut me off in traffic, or, once or twice, the person online who is rude (or who I perceive as rude). Whether it's online or in the livingroom, your video reminded me of how important it is to be kind, to be patient, and to remember that quote: "Everyone you meet is fighting a hard battle." Negativity can never be destroyed by introducing more negativity. Thank you for the reminder, Jaclyn. I love you!

+Jaclyn Hill I have been bullied ever since I was in 2nd grade because I short. Everyone in my family is short so it runs in the family. But that has always been one of the reasons I am bullied. I've learned to just ignore it but I am not gonna lie it's hard because that's not the only reason I'm bullied. I have ADHD and i have learning disabilities (or difficulties) I struggle a lot in math and sometimes science so school is always tough in those subjects. I am teased often bc of my grades, i am called stupid and retarded bc I don't have A's and B's in my classes. But after watching ur videos, especially the one u uploaded the other day made me finally deeply accept the fact that people are going to be mean and hurtful sometimes and no matter how many people try and make people be kind to one another people will still be mean. You just have to learn to ignore the mean people and focus on the people who love u and treat u with kindness instead of focusing on the people who hurt u.

I just moisturize and then shake the Nivea bottle, put my finger over the opening as a "stopper", turn it upside down, then use the amount on my finger and rub it into my forehead, get the same amount of product again, rub it onto the left side of my face, and so on, until I have covered my whole face... Then I wait for it to dry for a bit before applying my foundation.. The difference is AMAZING

+rebecca miranda i usually use the cushion foundation with the sponge because the sponge really helps blend everything together while still keeping it full coverage just remember to pat when using the sponge instead of rubbing it

I would love to see a video on how to avoid cakeface makeup, because I have really dry skin so whenever I use any makeup it instantly looks matte on face. I want to look dewy but no dewy foundation helps cos my face is so dry. please this will help me alot xx

add a drop of beauty oil to your foundation! she talks about it in a few of her videos. I have dry skin too, and I use the smashbox liquid halo foundation, and add one drop of tarte's beauty oil and it helps a ton

Most brands say that they don't but they actually use third party testing, so I'd recommend going on Peta's website because if someone isn't on Peta it's basically a given that they test. There are so many amazing brands that don't test and it's totally worth it! What companies do to those poor helpless animals makes me so upset :(

Other lists like leaping bunny and PETA are not only not accurate but they don't do extensive research and talk to heads of brands like LH does. Her list is my bible. Companies like Tarte are under a parent company that test, so because it funds testing in some way I do not purchase from them. I have tons of videos with vegan and cruelty free makeup if you ever need help! It is easier to go CF than most people realize once you see the horrid things happening not just to bunnies and mice but cats and dogs too! It's worth it in the end- our superficial needs will never be more important than a life!

Yes I agree Jaclyn! I keno it's hard to please everyone since many said they do not like you always using MUG, but I personally loved it since it is such high quality and so affordable.

She said she would normally use desert sands by MUG. I think high tea would work instead of the other transition she used. You can use cocoa bear instead of fudge and I know there are two white MUG shadows you could choose from for the inner corner.
