@Jaclyn Hill I would give the concealer another shot as a quick google revealed the concealer is water based and the hourglass foundation is silicone/oil based and oil and water don't mix. It would probably work better when layered with other water based foundations like double wear which is better for more oily skin

All these drugstore requests are silly. Jacklyn is here to teach us techniques and design ideas. There are millions of youtubers reviewing drug store makeup. This look can easily be obtained by drugstore makeup. We live in an age where there are reviews of everything available written and filmed! She puts on a $40 foundation, just replace that in your head with your favorite L'oreal/Revlon product. Morphe eyeshadow are cheaper by volume and better than drugstore eyeshadows.

makaylasxo Oh my goodness, it's so frustrating isn't it? I don't have as much trouble with my foundation (I can mix in Manic Panic's white if need be) as I do with finding a concealer that's light enough to actually brighten and highlight the under eye area. It's literally my biggest pet peeve. I was actually in Ulta the other day and there was a really sweet girl there who was helping me and she said, "Oh my gosh I can totally solve that problem for you. We have a WHITE concealer so that fair girls & guys can actually have a highlighted under eye area!" And I seriously got so excited, only to discover that it was in a stick form, haha, as she directed me to Maybelline's white concealer stick. :( Other than that, I would absolutely LOVE if they made a concealer formula similar to Tarte's Shape Tape, or Urban Decay's Naked Skin, or even MAC's Prolongwear Concealer in the shade white, oh my goodness that would be incredible!

I don't understand the obsession that people seem to have with the prices of the make up, or demanding drug store looks. You don't have to use the same products? Just substitute. She is using some affordable products in this tutorial anyway. Jaclyn is the reason I got into makeup, and at the time I could barely afford even drug store makeup. I still learned a lot from watching her videos. I think they are more importantly about technique. Now I'm getting to a better position in life and I totally understand wanting to use the higher end stuff. I still use plenty of affordable things too if I don't have the high end item though.
