While a hook point totally buried is of no use. If you use a treble hook it allows you to designate a point strictly as a bait holder. Buried in baits forehead skull you have 100% certain it will not come off unless a monster strike. You still got 2 points to get the fish. This is really a advantage with soft baits like shad or chicken liver shrimp using 2 points or even 3 to keep it on.

I don't understand the concept of not fishing the bait spots? Anytime you catch bait in mass quantities rod reel or. cast net something is there feeding on them. Well worth baiting up a rod on the first bait & tieing off the rod while you get your bait.

Man a couple months back I switched from a shoulder strap tackle bag to a backpack which really saves my back and whatnot but I went for the $49 cart from Academy (minus the spiffy rod storage on the side)...it was the best 49 dollars I've spent in awhile...it does look funny with a 12ft Okuma surf rod stickin out of it though....keep them lines tight brother....hey uh....left field question uh....what kind of sunscreen do you use..my girlfriend is red headed also and burns quick..not only from direct sun but UV as well..just curious buddy..stay safe out there

The SPF does not really have much if an effect on how protective it is. What I mean is, 60 SPF is barely any more effective than 30 SPF. You're better off just using 30 SPF sunblock and not putting 2 times more active ingredients into your body. If that's not enough definitely consider wearing light loose layers. For people who are extra sun sensitive, you can buy things like sun hoodies which are basically hooded sweatshirts that are very light so they will keep you cool but still provide a lot of extra coverage. Hope this helps

Must be nice to be able to use that many poles. Here in Commiefornia ur only allowed two and u have to pay extra for that. Besides that, every body of water has its own rules. A lot of the time ur not even able to use bluegills or live bait. Sucks man.
