Good informative video, but it would also be helpful if, when you’re talking about be-heading or leaf prop, you could show an example of same. It would make the video more complete. Thank you.

Hi Cynthia, excellent suggestion! Thank you so much for providing me with feedback and for watching. I will have to show examples in a future video.😊

I have a PVN that I bought from a nursery here in Lake Charles, LA over the summer. Here in Lake Charles we had a couple of nights below 32 degrees (around 28 for a low) for about 2 nights and now we have another front coming through which will bring some more cold nights and early mornings. Its in a terra cotta pot so no worry about moving it inside for the night. Inside it gets only fluorescent light. Somewhere I read that those lights do not give the full spectrum of adequate light. I do think it dried out a bit too much, though, as it was looking kind of "wilty", so I gave it a light drink today. I'm just going to play it by ear for the rest of our winter, bringing it inside when temps get below 32 and out when they don't. I'm still going to keep the soil only slightly moist and really not give a thorough watering until spring. What do you think?

I would water if it gets wilty. 👍 I think that sounds like a good plan. If you’re bringing it inside, I would expose it to small increments of sunlight so it doesn’t burn.☺️👍

How long do these keep their purple shade from morning sun in a pot, then brought inside? I’m in Texas and the sun is too intense past 9 or 10 am.

I would think several days but they would eventually grow leggy and would burn when you eventually return it outdoors. You could always put it under partial shade. I would avoid the afternoon sun if it is too intense.

@@SweetonSucculentswithMay oh that’s good to know. I’ll try one and see how it goes. I’ll try it with one of my PVNs and maybe a Graptsedum California Sunset.
