Another easy hike with excellent views and a huge waterfall (in late spring and early to mid summer) is the hike to Cascade Falls (only a mile out and back). Or Eagle Lake (both over by Emerald Bay). For the more experienced hiker, then there is the hike up to Star Lake (off of the Pioneer Trail, High Meadow Trail and the Tahoe Rim Trail). And then there's the hike to Marlette Lake (over and up) by Sand Harbor. And finally Round Lake (off of Highway 89 near Hope Valley). You would truly love them all Gabriella! 👍
@GabriellaViola3 жыл бұрын
wow these are awesome suggestions! I have done Cascade Falls. I've done Eagle Falls but not Eagle lake. I might do that one in a couple weeks. I am going to research all of these hikes for the late spring when I am back in Tahoe. Thanks Jerry!

Awesome! Thanks for sharing. I have seen them all a while back and since Yosemite is open for reservations only, I will need to go see these again next week. I have a busy sports week to photograph, so when it is over....it will be road trips galore! lol

Really you still need a permit for Yosemite? I thought they got rid of that ?

Hi Gabriella , lucky to find you on You tube to follow.We were in Tahoe long long time ago and all we did just ski , never wandered around . Now we have time and plan a trip this spring in Tahoe to hike and hope we can see some wildflowers. Any suggestions? We ll stay on West shore , hope is quiet, but reading your vlogs , Eastside is more quieter and beautiful, but no reasonable accommodation by the lake , any ideas, please . Thx
@GabriellaViola3 жыл бұрын
Hi Tania, I haven't seen the wildflowers in Tahoe yet, but I know there is a field near Tahoe city somewhere, but sometimes it's underwater if there is a lot of snowmelt. There's also quite a few wildflowers on the trail to Lake Winnemucca. The west shore is definitely quiet in terms of the tourists! In terms of accommodations on the east shore, I would say Incline Village would be your best bet.

They are all beautiful spots..I've seen a few elopements at Cave Rock and Emerald Bay because they are short easy hikes (so no sweating lol)

Hey , so I have many questions !! , me and my family are heading out in June , how is the weather in June ? We are going to the north side of Lake Tahoe so I was wondering what is there to do there restaurants , activities etc.
@GabriellaViola3 жыл бұрын
The weather is beautiful in June! and the mountains are still snowcapped which is nice. There is plenty to do on the north side, especially in Tahoe city and Kings Beach, and Incline Village!

Are these hikes suitable for ages 3-8?
@GabriellaViola3 жыл бұрын
I would say most of them are ...monkey rock is the most moderate hike on this list (prob not great for a 3 year old)...the other ones are pretty short or barely involve a hike ...definitely feel safe on these trails
