That's a great idea, I also do my own coloring bids except that, I paint directly on the back of the glass bids, I use nail polish, regular acrylic paint and, afterwards, I use clear paint to keep the colors vibrant. It is a slow process though because one has to wait until the paint dries to apply another color. I even use them as cabochons wrapped in wire for necklaces, Just thought that maybe someone will like to try my system as well.

I like to heat my glass beads in a dry heavy bottomed pot on the stove on high, for a minute or 2, then drop them into ice water. They crackle nicely, then I color the back of the cabochon with nail polish, sharpies, etc. The color shows up well in the microscopic crack lines. They are beautiful!

I made something much like this a couple years ago but I used nail polish colors instead of sharpies And painted on the back of the glass then put it on the foil which sticks very well.. That’s skips the whole glue process but you do have to wait a while for it to dry. Then I covered it with clearcoat spray on the back just to give it extra strength and used heavy duty tinfoil. These ones in your video very pretty and I’ll have to try the foil crinkle method next time I make some.

Good job on the video. Just wondering: before making all those vats of alcohol ink, did you try scribbling the markers onto the foil and then spritz/mist it with some alcohol? Just a thought. I haven't tried it yet, but I bet it would work and be less time consuming and messy. Of course, there's always alcohol ink pad refill bottles too for this. I enjoy bead weaving bezels for my gemstone cabs. I think that would be a great option for these fun glass cabs. Thanks for sharing. Nice. Dollar stores sell glass stones like these made in China. Instead of using plain white glue Xyron makes a variety of Sticker Makers for different sized projects and objects. That applies their adhesive evenly to the entire surface of the glass stone. I personally would be afraid of the fragile Aluminum (not tin) foil ripping off the stone with a magnet glued to it. As for cutting them to size one thing you could try is using a Brother Scan 'N Cut which allows you to scan in the whole sheet of indentations that you drew (or however you've marked the project or any shape really) so that it can be cut out automatically by the machine. This frees up time for you to make more crinkled and colored metallic sheets. Then once those cuts are done just glue them to your glass stones. As for art you could also try highly detailed fractals whereby one 8.5x11 inch page could yield beautiful backgrounds over the entire page. Or using the aforementioned Brother personal scanner & cutter pull up saved scans to have it cut out those shapes. A cool way to remain creative and streamline your activities for something like 20,000 sales on Etsy or Patreon or Square. Have you tried gluing two glass stones back-to-back perhaps using the same or two different sheets of foil? You'd need only a tiny amount of sealant to protect the edge. It could be a cool oddly rolling cat toy or something to drop in the swimming pool to see who can find the most which are gonna be plenty hard to find once they almost look invisible underwater.

Great tutorial, but if you glue the Cabochons directly onto the coloured foil and then use a soft nail file to remove the excess, it would make it so much easier than having to cut a circle out of the foil

I thinkt he red going pink is because the alcohol is diltuing it into pink. if you put two (or even three) sharpies in the same container you'd get a more red, red (or you use less alcohol of course) you should also be able to just colour onto the foil with the sharpie then use the alcohol on the q-tip (or drip/spray) to blend/move it oh and two pair plier (or a vice and 1 pair plier) will possibly get those sharpies to come apart easier ;)
