Thanks for redoing the tutorial. Even though I have sewed for years I am a little slow and no expert. I will give it a try.

Love this!! Great gift idea!! Thank you!!

Yes this would be good for beginners. I love the idea of putting the opening in the inner seam instead of the outer seam. I’ll be trying that!

This is great tutorial. I didn’t see the other, but love this. And no binding! The little opening in the border is genius.

I am so glad you liked it! I’m really happy that you found it easy to follow.

Good demonstration 🙌 Looks easy enough to do. Clever idea to recycle some old towels for inside the hot pad. A piece of ribbon, elastic or an elastic ponytail holder could be used in place of the folded strip of fabric as the hanging loop.
@juliatepe5760Ай бұрын
Tnanks! I never thought of using elastic or a pony tail holder for the loop.
@SimplyDelilahАй бұрын
yes great suggestion! I have used those elastic that you get from all a dollar.

Great tutorial, Delilah! I definitely think this will be good for beginners. I adore the fake binding. It’s so much faster! I like the slower pace of this tutorial. I’m really old and my brain is slower. 😂 Sew with joy! 😘

Thank you for redoing your video. I saw the first one and it was a bit confusing. However, the idea of doing the fake binding in this way is quite clever. I look forward to trying it for some Christmas gifts. Many thanks.

Thanks for this video. You just gave me the answer to my conundrum on what to give my many children for Christmas. As I never saw the first video, I won’t worry about it. This one is great. Everyone has a different comfort level with technology, but they should check out the top right hand corner gear on the video screen of KZbin, where they can also slow it down. I use pause when I’m learning a technique from a creative. Thanks again for sharing this tutorial. It looks wonderful and I love how you added some embroidery, which I have been learning this year. ❤❤❤

thank you, yes embroidery is so much fun! it gives these hotpads so much character.

HERE IS A TIP FOR THOSE THAT HAVE A HARD TIME WITH YOUR SPEED: They can go to "settings" on the video - click "Playback Speed" - Set speed at a lower rate. There ya go! And PS Delilah: I am currently - as I type this - watching this video while sewing up some hot pads with the faux binding from your previous video!!!! I had some people order some with matching bowl covers....I will try to find you on instagram and show you my projects!

@SimplyDelilahАй бұрын
Thank you! Yes! One this I can say is check out designs by JUJU…it’s a website and all the fonts are very high quality

When you say “felt” are you referring to batting?
@SimplyDelilahАй бұрын
I actually had felt laying around so I used that... I would recommend batting.. but I just used what I had laying around...and I have tons of felt laying around right now.

Don’t your viewers know they can pause it??

I hope so..sometimes sewing can lead to frustration so I complete understand.
@harryburkett7754Ай бұрын
I thought this was a good tutorial. Don't forget to remind newbies that the fabric and thread should be 100 percent cotton.
@SimplyDelilahАй бұрын
You are absolutely right! Thank you for the reminder!
