I've tried to do a cityscape a couple of times in the past few days. They were just awful and I painted over them. I'm not sure if I'm using too much paint or maybe not enough. I'll just keep plugging away. Love your work Joni!!!

It always amazes me how people can sit down and just start painting without a plan in mind, to just let the paint and the strokes decide where the outcome will be, I kinda envy that quality....maybe it will come for me too with time, but right now, I need to have somewhat of a plan before I even put any paint out...it might be that I´m scared to waste paint and canvases....I worked so hard to buy all my supplies, that I don´t want to waste them on something that won´t end up being something, you know....and YES, it´s just paint, it´s meant to be used, and you learn so much by trial and error, I KNOW that, but I can´t seem to shake that fear..... Anyways, I love how this one turned out :) 💜

I totally understand what you’re saying.. sometimes I feel this way too😘 I hate feeling like that because it stifles my creativity so I’ve become very good at blocking out those negative thoughts haha.. thank you for your comment❤️

i love this Cityscape! the colors are beautiful! if I were to make this bigger what would I do different? I love the idea of a Paris and Vegas Cityscapes .A series of Cityscapes would be amazing> when I paint it takes me a couple of weeks to finish . after my painting is finished it takes me a long time to pick up a brush again . I do overwhelm myself .
