After days of watching videos on the riffle shuffle and spending hours and having only large groups of cards released at at time by my thumbs I finally found the solution here. Hold the cards deeper in the hands. Still need to practice now but at least I can see how i can begin to release only one or two cards at a time. Thanks for this

I watched 10 different videos and practiced for a couple hours but I wasn’t able to do it well until I watched your video with the underneath view of the shuffle that I was able to get the riffle to go one card at a time. For me it was all about the grip and position in my hands that made it work right. I don’t know why your videos don’t more views. Thanks!

I pretty much had it down already and was just discovering the "claw" grip on my own when I came across your video. For what it's worth, hearing it explained really helped me secure the grip and make things faster and smoother and the different angles were really a welcome change from the standard POV angle alone. Thanks for the extra effort. Good luck with the channel.

Really struggling with the thumb technique, I have small hands which I don't think helps. Great tutorial though, I shall keep trying :-)

Instead of riffling the cards, you can use a swing cut in Step 1.

In a video for beginners, maybe go slower than if you're teaching a professional card player. You went from here's ABC to here's a Shakespearean play in about 40 seconds
