I wanted to start with just saying how much I enjoy your videos! I especially love the small space garden series now that I have a small space of my own. I may have said this before, but you are actually the reason why I will be starting my very first garden in a few weeks, so thanks for the inspiration! One thing I learned is to go ahead and put the trellis in BEFORE your plants, so you don't disturb the root system. Also, a great idea about going to the thrift store to see if there is anything I can use!! Thanks again for your videos and the opportunity to be in your drawing!

I learned you can grow a whole lot of food in a small amount of space, especially cucumbers on a deck - who would have thought! Also, researching which plants grow best in a condensed area. I learned Smart Pots are the way to go due to the aeration of the fabric to allow air to freely flow in and out of the soil. I learned the different ways to substitute for trellises. Hog fencing, branches around the yard, dollar store items, anything that will allow the plants to grow vertically!!! And most important - R-E-C-Y-C-L-E - Love it!!

I made my husband sit down and watch your series with me so he can see how I'd like to set up our apartment balcony. We have a very small apartment balcony but I'm determined to grow some veggies this year! Last year I was only able to plant herbs and all of my vegetables died (I'm in California btw) . After watching your videos and doing more research, I realized that I have to grow plants that can withstand partial shade. The seeds you've selected for your small space collection are PERFECT for my small (and partly shady) space! Luckily, one spot in the corner of the balcony gets 6 hours of direct sunlight, so I can plant the Tiny Tim's there! :) I can't wait until we save enough to splurge on some of your smart pots and seeds!

Love the old tree branch idea for a trellis. Affordable and rustic. This is my first year using vermis terra worm tea any casting. Thank you so much for all your help on using this product.

I was worried that I wouldn't have what I would need to trellis but after this I went around the yard looking at items I had stored with the new thought of making trellises. I found old metal shelving, a portion of a cattle panel and even some older yard tools that will be perfect for my cucumbers, squash, beans, peas, cantaloupe and small sized watermelon. Oops also sweet peppers, tomatoes and eggplants. I started the day out thinking I was in need of lots of materials for trellises and after watching this and going through my yard and shed ended up with enough for everything! Thanks so much for all the great ideas!

Love the creative ideas. What I learned that I will definitely try is planting plants, then putting seeds in the same pot to get a second harvest. Thanks
