If your golems stop spawning, its probably because they are constantly panicking and can't work when they panic. They need to work, sleep, and get scared in order to produce golems. To fix this, add a clock going into a sticky piston with a block so it covers the zombie, allowing for the villagers to stop panicking for a few seconds so they can work. Then when the piston retracts for a few seconds, they'll panic and produce a golem. The clock I would use is a hopper clock since it's relatively compact and you can adjust the speed easily. However, hoppers do use up iron and if you don't have any, it might be easier to look up designs for other slower clocks. Hope this helps! :)

@@N0nal_ I would check out ScouseMouse's iron farm video since I took the idea from that video. Basically, there are sticky pistons facing down with blocks on them so that when they retract, the villagers will see the zombie and then when they extend, it will give them time to work and stuff since the zombie will be completely hidden. I've found it works best with around 20 items in the hopper clock and also if the zombie is able to move around. But yeah, I'd recommend checking ScouseMouse's video to get the design for the hopper clock. Hope this helps!

Sarielal77 i’m thinking raid + iron farm near a trading hall will be great because of the hero of the village effect where all the vills in the trading hall will throw u free gifts. But i imagine it will be a narrow trading hall bcs you don’t want anything to spawn in the corridor. Food farm can be separate as they have nothing to do with raids. So food + bees + breeder.

I followed this design for a year without any problem, but now I'm playing in 21w44a snapshot and when they attempt to sleep and then wake up immediately, somehow 1 or 2 of the villagers wake up behind the trapdoor and then the zombie kills that villager which stops the iron farm

Depends on how far down your hopper room is you may need to spawn proof it with carpets if it's within 6 blocks of the villagers

hi there, i've got a problem, my iron golem stopped spawing, so i put 5 villagers instead of 3. It worked for a while but then same thing, golem stopped spawning; should i add more villagers?

It's probably because the villagers are constantly seeing the zombie so they are always in panic mode and can't work when they're panicking. They need to be able to work, sleep, and get scared in order to produce golems. A simple fix would be maybe adding a clock connected to a sticky piston with a block so it covers the zombie for a few seconds then shows the zombies for a few seconds so you have a good work/panic ratio

To prevent this, you would need to make sure the zombie is covered for a few seconds to stop the villagers from being scared so they can still work. I would check out ScouseMouse's video on his iron farm tutorial to get the clock design that you can use to cover the zombie effectively.

golems spawn in a 13 block area above and below the villagers block they are standing on... so 6 up and 6 down +the block the stand on = 13..... So if we go down 6 blocks (and no caverns under them) the only place for the golem to spawn is in the water on that 6th block
