Here in Ozarks there rock everywhere. Highland lakes. I'm guessing main lake points. Lots of points. Need a way to cover water then slow down with a jig. Makes it hard to get Bit in the winter .

Any thoughts on jig fishing, and jig fishing strategies, from shore, in winter? I have tried it a bunch, in southern NY, where I think there are fish (because I caught them on jerkbaits, at different times), but no results yet. I am thinking that my results are poor because the fish that are hugging bottom are doing so away from shore. And the few fish I can access from shore are looking for bait.

Everything we've done lately applies to you. You should focus a lot of your attention on finesse (micro jigs, micro rigs... cough cough tomorrow morning, strolling, etc)
