Exactly. Some of the crafters are so experienced they just whiz through and not explain the really beginner aspects, and I can't follow them. I can appreciate what they're doing, but I'm back somewhere on Step 2 lol.

Thanks for sharing! I use frozen cranberries (I bought extras several years ago…too old to eat now) but they make a great natural dye that starts off red and ends up bluish…I strain the berries out before using the resulting liquid. 💕

I will have to try the cranberries sometime. I love dyeing papers and fabrics, and I’ve tried blueberries, avocados, and onion skins.

Thank you for showing the whole process. Also for leaving any "mistakes" in, because if there's something one can do upside down/backwards/wrong way, I'll find it and do it, so I like to know how to fix things (and glad I'm not the only one who gets timid around the book binding issue). The journal is great. You do a wonderful job on the covers for both journals too. 😍😍

Thanks so much for watching! As for the binding, for me it is the only stressful part of making journals. And this is the first time I’ve made that mistake - trying to do things too quickly often leads to mistakes - added to my list of binding mistakes I’ve made😊❤️

Sorry, I’m new to this, but what do you do with the books once they are complete. I noticed they are called journal books, which I thought are for writing, but some have words in them. Just curious.

Junk journals can be used in a variety of ways. They can be used strictly for writing but they can be embellished in any way you would like. If you search junk journaling on KZbin, you will find endless videos showing different styles
