Another question about the ties: They were both cut 3 inches wide. In your video it looked like the neck ties were narrower than the neck ties? I made my first one but the ties were all the same size. I love that it is reversible. Debbie

I generally make the neck ties slightly thinner for comfort, but they can be the same size. It's really a personal preference. I would love to see a picture of the one you made.

I am a new sewer and I love your video on the kid apron how specific your measurements and seam sizes were. I have cut out my first apron. The one thing I am confused about is do I lay fabric front side up and lay the second piece lay it fabric front side up underneath the first piece? I am waiting to hear what to do…. Does it matter if the fabric is face up each one of them??? Help. Thank you, Debbie

Sorry it took me so long to get back to you. I've been teaching at a show. Place the two pieces right sides together and sew around the outer edge. (The wrong sides will be out) Make sure to leave a small opening to turn the apron right side out. After turning. Top Stitch around the outer edge, roughly a 1/8" from the edge. This will secure the section you left open to turn and make the whole apron look more finished. The ties for the apron will be between the two sections as you sew them together. Hope this helps

Excellent tutorial! Would I use the same size for a two year old? Thanks for sharing. I am looking forward to making these for my granddabies, and it seems like its beginner friendly.

Glad you like it. It would depend on how big the 2 yo is, but it should be close to the right size. If you run into any problems just let me know, and I'll walk you through it. Have fun with the grandbabies.

Would anyone let me know if the two main pieces must both be face up or if it does not matter before I cut the arm area out? Thank you.

So sorry I missed this. Life has been a little nuts. It does not matter as they exactly the same and not mirror images.

So glad you like it. Mine was about that age when I made his, so hopefully it should fit. You can always make the straps a little longer just to be on the safe side. :)

Wait size would you cut out for a 7 year old? You said this was toddler size.
@QuilterOnTheRun

There are no set measurements as it depends on the size of the child you are making it for. I give rough sizes in the video for a child around four, but it again depends on how big the child is.
