@@ThePorcelainSeminar aha..thank you..(im beginner in layering ceramic well 2-3 years .. learned quite allot on my own and your videos are educational and helpful for me) .. ..i have one question hope you might answer me.. until now i have used just VITA classic shade guide and i have my protocol of first creating a porcelain core with Opaque dentine then baking then layering transparent dentine etc .. for example if i had prescripced A2 color i use in cervical 1/3 of tooth A3 Opaque dentine if i wanted more chromatic i used A4 OD.. but now im about to start with 3D shade guide and powders so im in doubt how to achieve proper value and chroma in cervical 1/3.. for example if prescribed color is 2M2 shall i use 3M2 or 4M2 ?(to achieve same color transition as with A2 by adding A3 or A4 OD in core) ..or shall i use 2M3 ? (its a question for Full arch cases ..what in your opinion looks better ..thank you in advance)

@@zokikostadinov3303 hello. If you keep your layering method now, 3D Master Shade guide recommends using 2m3 OD for 2m2. However, the method you use now is the same as most people around the world, That's not the right way. For example, which powder should you use for the A4 shade? The same goes for 3D Master Shades. For 2m3, which powder should you use? This layering is only a temporary measure. It is recommended to fundamentally understand and study Shades. In fact, there are correct uses for both Vita classical and 3D Master shades. A1 is A1's method, A2 is A2's method, 3m3 is 3m3 method... There are exact methods and formulas for every Shade.

@@ThePorcelainSeminar Vita Shade guides are build the similar way it is Metal with OPAQER then layer of NECK material then Layer of Transparent dentine and Enamel but their thicknes is 4mm ...so i must use another tricks to achieve same "color" but in a space which is less then 1 MM ..if i use straight A1 powders as they are in the manuel then my end color will be brighter it will be Bleach color) i must find the Hue and intensify it without crossing the hues and creating an undefined color so rule to which im taught and observed in real life is (slightly more chroma and less value in the cervical 1/3 ..slightly more value in mid third of tooth and Incisal is age related) .. so im combining multiple powders for achieving this.. in your example of A4 i would use ... C4 OD + (LM2/LM5 50/50 mix) + Neck(N1/N5 50/50 mix) as a core and as a cover Transparent Dentin A4 and i would cover all that with C3 (cervical transparent) .. so 1:1:1 C4 OD / LM / Neck (LM and Neck are from Manuel of A4) C4 is the only one out of protocol which im bringing in with sole purpose to lover value)gray tone of group C) (btw im using VITA VMK MASTER) im evading to use Neck materials for anterior because NECK is the most luminous powders in Vita VMK system but in cases with darkest most chromatic colors(A4 C4) there is either Neck or Stains .. Vita Shade guides are build the similar way it is Metal with OPAQER then layer of NECK material then Layer of Transparent dentine and Enamel but their thickness is 4mm ...so i must use another tricks to achieve same "color" but in a space which is less then 1 MM .. if i use straight A1 powders as they are in the manuel then my end color will be brighter it will be Bleach color) if i use straight A4 then my end result will be Brighter tooth which will appear white in the patient mouth .. (in my free time i do make a samples of powders in various thicknesses and trying to experiment(after all we do work in a Laboratory :P ) but still didnt had enough time to try everything

@@zokikostadinov3303 Yes, of course you are right. We need the shade to be perfectly finished at a thickness of less than 1mm. In that respect, the achievements you have made so far are very impressive. You are wonderful. I have experienced the process of your research and efforts, and I have the present result. As a result of my research, A Shade is a method of adding other auxiliary powders with A shade powder as the center. The main character of B Shade is B Shade powder, the main character of C Shade is C Shade powder, and the main character of D Shade is D Shade powder. They make sure they show accurate color at 0.3mm thickness. If there is an opportunity someday, I would like to meet and talk in person. I am Joseph from Korea.
