thanks for sharing, I have managed to make a similar fade by editing the standard mirror texture included in sketch up. so no other program needed.

Great tip! I may give it a try later. Also been meaning to ask you what you use to navigate around your drawings. Is it just a mouse with a wheel? If so I have found a better product that I have been using for a few years and love it. Let me know if your interested.

Brian Needham I’ve got in the habit of using just my MacBook trackpad!! 2 finger swipe to zoom; keystrokes O and H to orbit and pan. I know it’s probably made it harder for myself but the habit developed from doing a lot of drawing on the move in front of customers. Sometimes I get the mouse out and the click wheel is useful. I have heard about other products dedicated to navigating and been interested in them, so yes I’d appreciate a recommendation!
