A few weekends ago, I went to the movies to watch Baby Driver. I can't remember feeling so moved by a movie soundtrack. It was treat to get to hear so many classic songs in 5.1 surround sound. After being pleasantly reminded of "Easy" by The Commodores, I quickly added it to my list of potential covers.

Another fine performance! I think that getting in close to the Mic, and getting those mouth sounds you're talking about, is fine for certain songs. It adds to the intimacy and expressiveness. This is one of those songs.
