Labai ačiū! Jau senai tokios pamokos laukiau. Tačiau vis dar nežinau, ar buna ištarimų teisyklės. Be to, kai klausau, žmonės dažniausiai kalba per greitai.

Thank you so much!!! I'm so happy I found your videos. They're so interesting and helpful for me and it's stuff I'd never figure out on my own while trying to learn Lithuanian.

I'm getting intrigued by Lithuanian after having listened to a few songs, so here I am watching your videos and I find them really clear. I just have to tell you that the difference about stress in the beginning or in the end of diphthongs actually sounds more like a difference in the duration and "colour" of the first vowel. They all sounds stressed on the first vowel, but for example "Reiškia" is pronounced with a long, open e (like ę) while "Veikia" has a short, close one (like a shorter ė).

You're right. It's just a matter of explaining things. Even though the stress sign in 'veikia' would be on i.

Want to get fluent in this language, it's awesome. Becoming a real Litvaphile haha. Thanks for the work you do, it's very much appreciated.

So if e in ei is under stress, it's pronounced like lithuanian e, close to Estonian ä? And if e in ei is not under stress, it's pronounced more like international e? Like, ė but less soft.

What about Aušrinė? Stressed in the beginning or on the end of this dipthong?
@videomokykla9 жыл бұрын
The dipthong isn't stressed. The stress is on "i".

So complicated. Unable to know where should be stressed when seeing a word.
