Ok I know a girl that used to make something similar, it was half this daal, and qeema bhoona, use biriyani masala packet. And assembled with boiled rice, topped with fried onions and sliced tomatoes and sprinkle podina leaves at dumm. It was delicious 😋 when serving pop boiled eggs on top

Humary family mein ye dish India se banti aa rahi hy.. Meri nani specially ye dish muharram ki first Thursday ko niaz ky liye banati thi or ye dish India se humary Yahan niaz ky liye bhi banti hy... Or Meri is dish ko teh laga kr nhi banati thi bulky daal gravy mein hi chawal daal ky mix biryani banati thi...or is ky sath nani ky hath ka achar or podinay wali kachumar salad.
