Easy Market Tote with Strong Sewn-in-Seam Straps and Boxed Corners

You can call this Easy Market Tote the "landscape" version of the previous Simplest Tote • Simplest Tote with Fre... but we are one-upping the difficulty level by adding a couple of very long straps sewn from cotton fabric. I arrived at the length of 56" x 6" wide because I like to sew the raw edge of the strap into the bottom seam of the bag for a sturdier bag. But if you don't have fabric that length or width, you can just cut two pieces of fabric that are 28" x 6" and attach them on top of the bag like the Simplest Tote • Simplest Tote with Fre... instead of the method shown in this video. I like the strap to be 1.5" wide when finished, hence, the width of the cut fabric is 6" wide. Once again, if you like 1" finished width, cut it 4" wide, etc...
🧵If you use a thicker and/ or sturdier fabric like cotton canvas, drop cloth, duck canvas, etc... you can definitely skip adding any interfacing or stabilizer.
