Vicky, thank you for sharing this. I’m almost 70 yrs old and I remember when bologna was was very large around and came in a “U” shape. We had a lot of it when I was a kid, at home. You could cut thick slices from it and fry!! My mother usually steamed it and served chunks of it with fried potatoes or homemade Mac and cheese. We loved it. Not to be found anymore! Today it’s the size of 2 hot dogs and costs more than hamburger! So discussing 💕🙏🙏

I have a microwave corn cooker that keeps RV cool. Your dinner looks yummy. I eat my watermelon both ways if it's sweet enough with no salt, if it needs to be a little sweeter I add a little salt

Love cool and simple when it's so hot out ....call them corn silks or corn hairs...lol I always break my corn in half... Mmmm watermelon.. I love it but it repeats on me.. lol don't know why.... I have never seasoned my corn butter before....I'm going to have to give it a try... I bet it's got a great flavor... My daddy used to make himself and me a fried bologna sandwich... Mustard is my go to condiment.. nice lite meal... I eat watermelon either way if it's sweet no salt.. thank you for sharing.. have a great evening and A Happy 4th of July.... 🙏🥰🌹

Love boĺogna fried and not fried. We had a man here who had a foòd truck. He was known as The Bologna Man." He had all different kids of bologna sandwiches. He was very popular and had a big following. I eat my watermelon with salt. I have found watermelon with seeds to be much sweeter than the seedless.

Hi Vicky I eat my watermelon without salt. But cantaloupe I put a dab of salt and a lot of black pepper that's the way my mom and dad served it brings back great memories so since both are no longer with us but enjoying their forever home. I just bought corn on cobs can't wait to try your recipe looks delicious. Daughter is picking us up a watermelon..Oregon having 3 days of 100 + weather starting tomorrow.we will be having cold sandwiches melons and if its too hot we are having Tillamook ice cream for dinner lol . thatlooks so good i havent had fried bologna in years the corn lookw awesome too! and of course the watermelon looks yummy as well yes teeth sensitivities ARE horrible i have them too and i cut my corn off just like that lol happy 4th to you and the family! i eat watermelon w/out salt :)

We in southern California in my family growing up would eat the thicker bologna that we would get from a butcher an it sliced thick an eat it on a roasted flour tortilla with cheese my dad grew up on that he was from Arizona an later moved to souther calif but we are from a small city an not in Las Angeles or Beverly hills . My dad was Latin an Dutch an American Indian chinese but all born in america except great great grandfather an great great granmother n great great grandfather's 😊😊❤😅 an my mother is Caucasian. Great gran on mom side from Tennessee an also my grandad her dad was a farm boy out of Oregon.

I always pick my watermelon by looking for the yellow sun spot on the bottom. And I like to cut both end of the corn and boil with husks on. It slides right out afterwards. Here is Las Vegas butter is almost 6.00 lb If i cant find it on sale.

I love me a fried bologna sandwich I cook mine more crispy and ya have to have bologna. Now my dad was from Oklahoma so we were raised on peanut butter bologna not fried and lettuce sandwiches most day that’s weird but I love them. He would take us fishing at night bring a loaf of bread and just put a cold hot dog on it yummy

I cook my corn the same way but I do not boil it I put it in the Crock-Pot in the aluminum foil and it cook all day it good your is going to be good to look yummy

@AuntVickiesCraftCorner , remember when red food coloring was banned because it was thought to cause cancer? I think it was in the 60s or 70s. I know the chemicals used to make food more appetizing to the eye can't be good for us. I understand what you mean by additives, color, and preservatives bothering you. Same with me. 💐💐

No it’s because I had veneers put on my front teeth and the dentist pushed them to far into my gum and it set up a sensitivity
