Lol i started mine but had to stop from being scared because im doing the whole dang house and by myself. I have tried to get some flooring guys out but i live to far away. It sucks cause the house is a rental and we cant rent it w/out the flooring done, may loose all my land and properties just from not being able to do this. i watch you and laugh at myself because you make it so ez. well anyways i appreciate watching you.

I’m continuing to watch your videos over and over and over so i can do my whole first floor. Two questions. What trim can i put around my hearth that isn’t ugly. Right now the floor and hearth are flush (hardwood and stone). When i lay vinyl planks over the hardwood it will be 5mm? higher than hearth. I’m trying to preserve as much as possible so down the road the next family can sand and refinish the hardwood if they choose. Trying to keep integrity of my house. 1941.

Any recommendations on how to Install laminate planking around the old style gravity vents? I’m referring to the style that are up against the baseboard but actually stick out into of the room and are at a slight angle with a metal frame around them. I wish there was a way I can post a picture. I have found all of your tricks and tips and recommendations to be very helpful and I doubt I would’ve made it this far in my floor installation without them

You glue them to the panel door. But I peeled off the underlayment first.

Cheater boards need to have a measurement you never list the size you just muttle how easy it is list the dimensions for them! I have tile style lam flooring and the boards are about 2 times wider then the plank and the board don't work

His planks (like most vinyl plank flooring) are all the same dimensions of length and width. Thus, why it’s a cheater board, it simulates a real plank being there and he can use it to mark off the actual plank that will go in its place👍🏻
