How clever are you!!!! I have a love-hate relationship with Minky. This is great - thanks for sharing your ideas. Wondering if using a temporary adhesive for the applique, then using the long arm might add a bit of safety 🤔

Probably. I don't have fleece so I've never tried.

So when you stitched the appliques is the backing on too?

Yes.... on the quilt machine. You can stitch it onto one layer on your domestic sewing machine - then give it to a longarmer to quilt (or quilt it yourself, depending on your skill level). I usually just quilt it while I applique it on - using my quilt machine.

No. I don't like it. It wouldn't work well with Minkee either.

Minkee is Polyester. They wash beautifully.

What thread (brand/weight/color) are you using for both domestic and your long arm in this video?

On my domestic I am using "Masterpiece" thread. 100% cotton (Superior thread - though I bought it before they changed ownership.) On my longarm I am using "Glide" thread. 100% polyester
