Jigging for north-atlantic cod (Skrei) in amazing Northern Norway, home of Lofoten and North Cape.
During late winter, the annual cod visit to the coasts of Northern Norway. The cod migrates from the vast northern oceans to mate in coastal waters. After some few weeks it returns to the Northern Ocean.
This video is from June 18th 2023. The cod high season is over, but still some opportunity to undertake some final jigging trips for those with patience and willingness, today 850 kg. Mostly cod but also saithe, a norwegian species close related to cod.
Shot close to Havoysund, Finnmark, Norway.
Beautiful scenery and good fishing. Net result of €1700 after costs for a few hours work!
After three months of cod fishing, total net result approx. €65000 after costs.
